Carlos Sainz extended his lead of the 2009 Dakar on Tuesday with another stage win. Team mate Mark Miller was second today and moved up to second overall.

Robbie Gordon almost won the stage, but he had to stop and repair his car near the end of the stage. He eventually finished 3rd.
