We’ve got a big week of Speedhunting ahead, but before we get stuck into that, let’s take a quick look back at some of our favourite videos from around the web over the past fortnight…
World Rally Championship driver Andreas Mikkelsen, downhill ski specialist Aksel Lund Svindal, and the Volkswagen Polo R WRC are the stars of this new clip from Red Bull. Filmed in the Southwest of Norway, watch as Mikkelsen four-wheel drifts his VW down an incredible snow-capped mountain road in order to catch a departing ferry.
Dino has brought us plenty of coverage from the 2015 Offset Kings Japan showcase over the last few weeks, but now it’s Fatlace’s turn with the official event video, produced in association with Illest and Formula Drift Asia. If you like low cars, you’ll like this! Warning: this video’s soundtrack contains offensive language.

If there’s one thing that Gatebil Rudskogen doesn’t lack, it’s excitement. And there’s no better place to taste the action (literally) from, than the pit lane wall, where high speed dirt drops are the norm. This is a short clip, but it gives you a good idea of what it’s like to stand in this precarious position…
Last but not least we have another Red Bull video – this time the full TV episode of the 2015 Mint 400 off-road race, which Larry captured beautifully in still-photo form, earlier in the year. If 850hp trucks ripping up the dirt at speeds close to 140mph (225km/h) sounds like your idea of a good time, then this is going to be worth a watch!

Love the dirt drop video, though having rocks and dirt thrown at you at around 80-90mph wouldn't be fun.........or would it?
I'll watch the red bull vid later, indeed that gatebil video is intense, I can't even begin to imagine what its like to be skidding a car at that speed, unfortunately I do not have the finance to afford to learn to drift, or the commitment to living like a tramp to pay for car parts when I inevitably break it. Still... looks fun though!
i vote for less slow motion in drift coverage.

LOL at the journalists just getting pelted with dirt, that's awesome. The Lamborghini video was pretty boring, kind of goes to show how little you have to do now to clock a 10 second time in a car. Seems like a child could drive those things in a straight line.

Totally agree!! Seems like every drift video out there these days is a montage of slow motion clips. They also tend to be from obscure angles, so you have no sense of the line the driver is taking...
I would love to see more videos with longer, wider angle shots, and played at real time.
I'm more into the technical driving aspects of drifting though, not so much the "woah that skid was cool" side of it.
