A few months ago we posted about the upcoming next chapter of the Initial D anime. The highly-anticipated full-length movie will take us back to the early days of the story when Takumi had no interest in cars or racing, but possessed an incredible talent for driving. With the release not far off now, a longer trailer has emerged and it gives us a better look at what we can expect to see this summer.
This brings back a ton of memories for me, as I’m sure it does for everyone who grew up watching the story of the world’s most famous tofu delivery driver.
Now hurry up, August 23rd!

I bet all those parts are flashbacks, the last episode of the TV show said the final race would be in the movie. Takumi races another disinterested AE86 driver.

they already let out the first two act, you can look for them and watch it, keisuke won against the nsx and takumi its having trouble withe de ae86 coupe, in the second act, shingi ( the driver of the other hariruku ) let takumi pass him just to watch him drive and them pass him again , this one is a tuff one for takumi

This looks amazing, I love how they made the 3D car models look hand-drawn instead of having them stand out awkwardly like they used to!
Noah_Lines spMulcahy This was just released 2 days ago so it may be a while before we see subs.
Right off the bat I can tell you that the license plate number is different (original is 群馬 55 お 13-954) and the windshield wipers are on the wrong side (LHD). Not sure why they decided to change it. o_0
Now we have to wait for the English dub, and who knows when that's coming out.
That cup of water still haunts my nightmares.
