Back in February, after the Tokyo Auto Salon dust had settled, I had chance to spend some time with a pretty impressive and equally unique car – the Bulletproof Automotive FR-S Concept One. Here was an affordable, entry-level, tuned sports car built to challenge some of the most accomplished supercars in the world, and shipped all the way to Japan from the US to see if it could do just that. Bulletproof teamed up with Maiham Media to chronicle the Scion’s road to success and its outing at Tsukuba Circuit. Hit play and prepare for a few very entertaining minutes…

Affordable? The parts on this car will cost you supercar money. Challenge stock super cars? Why is the Zn6 so hyped x_x.
I want one ;(
I also question what "affordable" means these days. The base car costs $35,000 and those Bulletproof parts aren't going to be cheap.
Rather spend that money on a slightly modded Alfa 4c. Still nice but imagine the price, it'll make a Nismo R35 look cheap!
What are you doing? You can't cover this, it doesn't have a Rocket Bunny kit!
Seriously though, very cool car. Nice video too. Though I would question the term "affordable". Comparatively affordable perhaps.
InnerToxicity He is saying that the base FRS is affordable, which it is - starting at around 24k dollars. Not sure where you got 35k from.
Here in Australia a base 86 is $35000
Here in Brazil will be probably something around 100k 120k the base 86 model.
AndreLonguinhos 150 irmãozinho, 150......
You could build that car for less than the cost of a new GTR and beat most 'super cars' and do it with a full, quality interior. I still find that pretty impressive.

Affordable? The base car here in Singapore is US$140,000. Hahaha...
JohnManners Yep, it's all about what you want from a car I guess
Hotcakes LOL
Chris 'Haffy' Hafner 4c is cool, but it's not quite there yet. Big thugs up to Alfa for coming up with something actually exciting for a change. I haven't forgotten about them since I use to drive my fathers old 75 back in the day... Alfa + RWD = good. FWD=crap
JayNg InnerToxicity Yeah well that's not the manufacturer's fault now is it;) Talk to your government lol
That's great but the total out of pocket money is still huge. I love it and bet its incredible to drive. Yet my wallet just jumped out of my pants pocket and scurried across the floor to hide under the fridge.
This car is so good that Toyota should just get the blueprints and make a production model.
SH Car of the year?
Great video! Beating lap times with a classy interior, I like that!
speedhunters_dino Chris 'Haffy' Hafner A real Alfa is a freakin RWD!!!! Forget the rest...! Well said Dino!
Melhor ainda né Y_Y não sei se choro ou dou risada sabia...
Love it. Love it. Love it.
Not entirely convinced on the aero kit and the interior the two kind of contradict each over. If it were me i would rip out all the interior trimmings and watch it gain 3-4 seconds per lap.
But what I would actually do is recreate Project Griffon. That really came and conquered. Any car capable of 58"407 around Tsukuba is a car I need in my life.
Very good, Same package, but more under the radar looks wise, would be a v good road car!
If the FRS/BRZ came with a OEM turbo setup, there would be one in my garage already.
Loving the interior. Not so much my flavor for the exterior.
Still the best looking FR-S I've seen to date. Absolutely LOVE this car, glad to see that it's a performer too.
Nothing bothers me more that a fast looking slow car.
I just love it when something good is made even better.
Wow. That performance is staggering! And it looks so great!!!
Absolutely amazing car and an amazing video!
