It’s hard not to be excited about the prospect of the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge, as it essentially packs much of the Nissan GT-R’s performance into a four-door wrapper. Officially speaking, Infiniti has not announced that the car will go into production, but given the positive reaction to the concept I’d say that it’s probably very likely. Not only that, but Nissan’s luxury arm has continued to develop the car and has decided to keep us updated along the way.

Testing of the prototype has been happening at the Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK, with none other than F1 champ – I mean, Infiniti Director of Performance – Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel. If it’s still simply a design study, I highly doubt we’d be seeing this, so I guess we can count on having a 560hp/600Nm, twin turbocharged Infiniti in showrooms sometime in the future.
Now the only question is, GT-R or Q50 Eau Rouge?

This would be freaking amazing!!
It's a really nice invitation for a competition with a BMW M5. But i have to admit both cars are esteticaly seen not very attractive...
Gianluca FairladyZ I respect your opinion, but you're insane. The Eau Rouge is beautiful!
hey dimitri
No probs man everyone has its opinion ;)!
Meh. Not powered by Mercedes =P
I noticed they measured torque in NM instead of Ft/lbs, and Speed in KPH instead of MPH. This is going to be another situation where Nissan doesn't make cool stuff in America again isn't it?
Yeah, and it so happens that the majority of people and journalists agree with dimitri
I'd still go for a GT-R! But if I had the skills and time I'd probably swap the front and rear with GT-R parts
nickmmele It was released at the NY auto show, so I'm guessing it will be available in the US.
soo... audi a4 with nissan gt-r drivetrain and infiniti badge?
Would have been nicer if they had shot it in a higher quality than 480p !!!
I can feel the butthurt already from the internet about the people who buy this in black and VIP style it. Bring it on I say!
Maybe Daniel Ricciardo should be driving?
@T Fritch given ability to drive a car with low aero grip... im behind this idea
Okay, so I'm a fan of four doors. I do really like this car but the sound it makes in the video.... I'm sure the aftermarket will fix that
I'm certainly a 4 door/wagon fan over sports cars and coupes, so this I can dig. The GTR doesn't do a whole lot for me, but some highly modded versions of this would get me excited for sure.
i don't see three pedals, i am disappointed =[
missile The GTR doesn't have a clutch pedal either...
Yeah, I hope the make a wagon of this so you can leave your kids at daycare and go for a track day, like the Audi Rs's, BMW M's and Merc AMG's. It's kinda hard defending buying a cool grocery getter AND a GTR to the wife. Would be nice to have it all in one.
The corner in the pic looks very similar to Eau Rouge - Cools connection SH.
I wonder if I will see in 15 years this Q50 at drift events. What, it has 4 doors and now that's the new black in drifting...
Build it already!
wheatgod - we're / lucky / won't - iff weeeer luckie U rill goes back ta school fer 15 yearzzz. LOL.
take my monies. where do i sign up?
*Now the only question is, GT-R or Q50 Eau Rouge?*
Lancer X
some routine boring modern all-the-same looking crap.
I'll have hakosuka instead
wheatgod If we are lucky, you will find quickly your Prius website and stop being lost here. LOL
Yep new cars have lost their way a bit, need to see one in the flesh. I said the same thing about the new WRX, then saw one and phwoar!!! But it does look a bit EVO X ish.
wheatgod andylaurel
BOTH!!!!!!!!! END OF DISCUSSION!!!!
So... is it the Next generation of Skyline GT-R? since Q50 is Nissan Skyline, and with GT-R's VR38 and ATTESA-ETS? i guess it's the closest thing.
