With a new week of Speedhunting ready to kick off, it’s time to take a quick look at some of our favorite videos from around the net that came to our attention over the past week.
Let’s kick things off with a new video from SlingshotX featuring the one and only Tanner Foust…
If the notion of thrashing a hard-tuned 2015 Polaris Slingshot (think 400hp extracted from its 2.5-litre EcoBoost engine) around deserted city streets in the dead of the night sounds like a bit of fun, then you need to watch this clip. San Diego at 4:00am become’s Foust’s playground for this MadMedia production, and the result is rather spectacular.
Next up it’s a nicely produced clip from Porsche in which the limited edition 911 R takes centerstage. Inspired by the 1967 original – a lithe machine designed for motorsport purposes of which only 23 examples were ever made – the new 911 R is built for pure driving excitement. Shot on an epic stretch of road, this new video does a good job of relaying the message.
A couple of weeks back, we sat down with Vaughn Gittin Jr. to talk about his experience competing in the King Of The Hammers, which you can check out here. As a nice follow-up to that, Nitto Tire has just released a new short film on Vaughn’s off-road adventure that you’ll want to watch in 4K Ultra HD.
Last, but certainly not least this week, we have a video that’s been doing the social media rounds over the last short while, titled Drift In The City. It’s professional drifter Sergey Kabargin versus the city streets of St. Petersburg, Russia…

it´s not new and it´s only 11 seconds, but I haven´t seen it before and I haven´t seen anyone else drive in hillclimb race like this, also that car is something speedhunters worthy, shame it has such a short life.
