To get a true feel for something you sometimes need to strip it right down to its raw state. In an effort to capture the true essence of a Global Rallycross (GRC) weekend, that’s exactly what this new behind-the-scenes short film from Red Bull sets out to do.
There’s no mood-heavy post production grading, and no dramatic background music – just natural vision and audio, with some high-frame-rate slow-mo thrown in for good measure.

Rallycross: Who can damage their team's car the most before the holeshot.
the dude eating the banana seems to have had a great time there
I watched this on TV the other day for the first time. Incredibly boring.
So where was the exchange of fisticuffs at the end for contact? Oh wait this isn't Nascar.

STI_Clint Yeah, but there is a familiar name for NASCAR fans. Scott Speed.
@Beany Watching racing on TV is not an easy skill. I'm able to because I am one of those people who would watch the whole length of a NASCAR race on TV.
jdmRob bananaman! lol.
Little disappointed in that video to be honest. Would much rather they had just left the camera on the start line to capture the sound/spectacle of the cars launching.
As an aside I have really struggled to get into the GRC this year. I'm not sure if the GRC has taken a step backwards, or if the World Rallycross Championship has taken a step forward, but the GRC has seemed vastly inferior this year.
benracer999 Well that's just sad

@Beany are talking about the slow motion vid, or the GRC series as a whole?
