Japan! #FeatureThis Is Coming For You!

The second round of the 2014 Formula Drift Asia season is happening at Fuji Speedway in Japan this coming weekend, and we’re gearing up to run another Speedhunters #FeatureThis activation at the Offset Kings car showcase running in tandem with the main event on Sunday (July 6).

Organised by the crew at Fatlace, Offset Kings Japan follows on from the successful Slammed Society Japan event last year and is open to wide variety of vehicles spanning many automotive genres. If you’re planning on taking part or heading along, you’ll find everything you need to know here.

For #FeatureThis, we’ll be checking out all the cars taking part in the show and then picking our favorite for an on-the-spot Speedhunters photoshoot and upcoming feature on the site. Speedhunters’ Taryn Croucher and Peter Kelly will be at FSW on Sunday, so if you see them shooting, make sure you say hi!

今週日曜日、富士スピードウェイで開催される「オフセットキング」にSpeedhuntersが出没!アナタの車がspeedhunters.comに取り上げられるかもしれません。イベントの詳細はコチラ。富士スピードウェイに行くSpeedhuntersのメンバーはディノ、タリン、そしてピーター。もし見かけたら、気軽に声をかけてくださいね!

What is the easiest way to get to Fuji from Tokyo? Am visiting from NZ and would like to head down. Shinkansen is the easy part but dont want to be stuck out at the track after the event. What is the bus and taxi service like in the area? Advice anyone?

@Dave Hey there Dave! Like many of Japan's motorsport facilities, you do really need a car to get to Fuji Speedway. I'm unsure of the public transportation services near the track, as it's based in quite a rural area. I'd give you a ride if I were driving there tomorrow myself, but I'm having to catch a lift with a friend. Last weekend I hired a Kei car from Times Rental car in Shinagawa to travel to a car event near Nagoya, and they were very helpful. This is the only method of getting there that I can recommend from personal experience - sorry!
