It was a long and intense season for the Belgian WRT team: running a fleet of GT Audi R8 LMS ultra racers in multiple series, they took in a trio of 24 Hours races and tens of thousands of racing kilometres. The Nürburgring, Spa and Zolder 24 Hours, GT1 World, the Blancpain Endurance Series, VLN, V De V, French GTs… was there a harder working team in 2012?

Running at the front in every race they competed in, it was a pleasure to follow the team as they tackled some of the toughest events on the planet, against ferocious opposition, during day and night and in every condition imaginable.

Here is a review of their year, covering all those series and showing just how challenging it was: for every taste of champagne the team also had to overcome their fair share of adversity. But their efforts were rewarded with the Drivers and Teams championships in the Blancpain Endurance Series (confirmed after an agonisingly long wait following a protest from a rival team). Can they possibly top this in 2013? Wait and see…
