News>> <br /> Saito Takes The D1-gp Round 1 Win

It might have been extremely cold, wet and miserable today in Odaiba but the actual action simply saved the day. The unrelenting rain didn’t stop the drivers from giving their very best at this first round of the 2012 Championship, serving up the usual close action and on the limit drifting for all to enjoy. Daigo Saito, after finishing in third place at last weekend’s Formula D event in Long Beach flew back home to Japan and rocked up to this first round in excellent form, putting on some amazing runs that landed him a spot in the final. He went up against Koguchi in his new S15 and managed to take the win thanks to some extremely close drifting. Tomorrow is the All Stars round where the foreign drifters like Mad Mike and Jake Jones will take on the best Japanese drifters. Stay tuned for lots of action from Odaiba!
