Speedhunters reader Daniel Hovdahl sent through this photo he took of a tidy BMW M3. Starting life as an original M3 in Norway, the owner has done some serious work to transform it into this Warsteiner-inspired street car.
This E30 is now BMW M5 powered, thanks to the 3.6-litre straight six that has been shoehorned into the engine bay. Along with the M5 transmission, the owner has also fitted a BMW Z35 rear and KW coilovers. The M3 is now 40mm wider on each side thanks to the DTM EVO body-kit, which provides space for the 17×9-inch front and 17×10.5-inch rear BBS RS wheels.

?? why replace the fenders and engine on an e30 M3... that is the primary differences between it and a non M. With the heavier engine you will need to redo the suspension anyway... He swapped to DTM mirrors and got rid of the sweet M mirrors.
I really hope a 328 gave up its engine for this.

ConKeR - The original engine is called S14. It's NOT a BMW M version of the original 6 cylinder M20. But it's actually a 4 cylinder engine, based on the M10. With a 16V DOHC head with ITB's
Fooman: He put on M3 Sport EVO fenders, not normal E30 ones. The EVO fenders are even wider than normal M3. Just as the Europameister fenders are also wider then normal M3 fenders.
The engine is not from a 328. It's the M5 S38B36 315hp one.

the red grill was something that they used in competition. i think the wheels fit it less then the grill.

What I meant was that I hoped an M3 did not loose an engine and become this... I hoped a 328 lost an engine and became this.
