The sweltering heat was on and off. One minute you'd sweat out buckets and the next minute the sun would be tucking away under a cloud with a slight breeze treating you to some much needed temperature relief. The body goes into shock when it was just in the comparably frigid temperatures of England then whisked straight into the sauna of the southern United States. It can't quite figure out what's going on…. But once the initial shock wears off and a whiff of tire smoke caresses your nostrils, all is forgotten and forgiven because it's drifting time again.

Great photo Linhbergh. I like seeing the track and stands empty as compared to the mayhem on friday/saturday. Atlanta has the best fans, hands down.
cool.. pity there wasn't more cars 'cutting' around the track..
