Kitted Out For The Scion Tuner Challenge

As the 2014 Scion Tuner Challenge car construction phase nears its end, our retro IMSA-inspired FR-S is really starting to take shape. Having only been given 90 days to transform the car from showroom spec to SEMA Show standard, the build’s lead – Speedhunters’ Technical Editor, Keith Charvonia – and a small but dedicated crew have been putting in some big hours to realize the ambitious vision.

We gave you a look at Andy Blackmore Design’s concept art in the last update, and now with the release of another video update from Scion (filmed a few weeks back), you can see some of those ideas come to life – including fitting of the now-available-for-purchase KM4SH kit. Check it out above!

So will there be any tuning going on for the Tuner Challenge? Or is this 'build' just sticking plastic to the side of the car? MotoIQ seem to know what they're doing.

@ITB  Although kind of mean, I see what you are asking. The headers at least are tuning parts. I think they will use some of the sponsors products, such as Takata, KW, Rays and so on. I would love to see something different
