Photo Roll>> The Eye Of Richard Morris

Trying to stay new and fresh is a not-so-unique problem to creative professionals. Everyone who is in any creative position hits a creative block and must turn to somewhere for motivation and inspiration. Richard Morris is someone whom I turn to on a regular basis.

Richard's sense of theatrics, emotion, use of color and how he plays with light is, in my eyes, second to very few.

Of course, it also helps that his subjects are part of most gear heads' deepest fantasies…

But, Richard's use of color has the most influence on me.

Second to Richard's use of color, is his sense of composition. I just love the extreme compositions that he uses. This Koenigsegg looks like it's sitting on another world!

A lot of automotive photography these days makes the viewer feel very detached from the subject that is actually being photographed. But Richard gives his viewers a very tangible feeling, emotion. This shot of the Porsche Carrera GT feels very intimate, like we are not suppose to be seeing this –voyeuristic almost.

This shot is just mind blowing, no?

Finally, there is his sense of theatrics. All of Richard's shots look like they came from a movie of some sort. They feel epic.

Check out more of his work on his website, Parabolique

A word of warning to any aspiring photographer, prepare to be instantly depressed as you view Richard's breath-taking and mind bending work.

Wow I LOVE the composition of the Koenigsegg and Lamborghini shots! I'm usually hesitant to frame shots where the car is so distant and small but I think these shots have changed my mind!

Amazing shots, I love the Lambo third from bottom!

I feel like I am right there.

Does anyone else here the 2001 theme song in their heads, when looking at that Lambo?

and that last picture is Quintessential.

Who hasn't been that kid? The first time looking at a super car.

You know what he is thinking: "I want to find a Hot Wheel or plastic modle of that car."

"And onwe day I am going to make enough money so I can buy one just like that'

I is not about shooting cars, it is about shooting emotions and dreams about cars.

Great photos. Makes me want to get on yahoo and talk to Scampy about Stu

I don't know why, but some of the pictures from this guy give me a weird and nostalgic feeling... I think it may be the way he uses the colors, and also some photos take me back to when I used to play Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit frequently. It kind of inspires me.
