There were a ton of race cars on trailers driving through Highway 5 and the Grapevine to LA last night. It was cool seeing these cars on the back of the trailers, cruising at 70mph on the freeway… little would most people know what these cars are really capable of once they're put on a race track.

From the starting grid at Buttonwillow yesterday, I spotted the M-Workz 350Z in line waiting to go out on track. I think this Z33 looks cool! Keep an eye out for an upcoming Speedhunters story on this car!

Repping the SGV… the Evasive Motorsports S2000. I like this S2K alot. A lot!

Yet another S2K… Gary Castillo and the crew were working on the BC/C-West carbon S2000 behind the Hankook rig, as Tyler McQuarrie chilled out waiting for them to finish. He won't be wearing that driving suit for much longer…

The GST Impreza reminds me of the GC8s I saw in the UK at the Time Attack UK event at Donington Park – I'll have to go back and look at the bodywork of the other cars, because I don't remember exactly… but I think these cars look very similar in terms of the wide body, bumper style and aero tuning… this is one fast Impreza, watch out!

Evasive once again… their Evo is sick! Voltex is one of the most popular brands of aero for Evos, especially in the Time Attack scene. Man, I think Evos are dope.

Now this guy is old school! Newer guys to the scene might not recognize Gwan from TRS Group 4. Gwan is a seasoned pro when it comes to race car preparation and maintenance! I remember the first time I visited his old shop, TRS Group 4, in Culver City. My good friend HerbrockOne from Cipher Garage introduced me to Gwan… at the time, he had a few Datsun 510s and even JDM Nissan Bluebirds hanging around his shop, all decked out in road race regalia, ready to hit the track. I spotted this clean Scion xB, rocking 15 inch Work Equip 03 wheels… This xB looks nice and clean! And it's apparently from SGV also, with the Bowls license plate frame… Bowls is the spot if you're into Honda Ruckus scooters!

Now this guy is OG! On the left, we have Tod Kaneko of Mazdaspeed… he was one of the early pioneers of sport compact car tuning in Southern California… he has a Datsun 510 and a 240Z that I used to see at Import Showoff events, but now Tod is traveling around with the ALMS circuit for Mazda. Much respect, Tod! To his right is driver Billy Johnson, who is apparently Tod's nephew…? Did I hear that right? I don't remember… anyway, Speedhunters readers might know Billy as the driver of the super fast Factor X NSX and the red M-Workz 350Z. Billy is a super fast driver!

Caught a moment of clowning around… with two of my good friends, Working Hard and Hardly Working (aka Ashley and Lisa) who are now contracted as Hankook Tire umbrella girls!

At the end of the day when it became cold, I spotted Ash rocking this sweater, and had to take a photo! She told me she got this sweater 2 years ago, but still rocks it all the time! Damn, that's cool!
