It’s like the racing gods are deliberately trying to up the ‘endurance’ aspect of the Blancpain Endurance Series: the second three-hour race of the championship at Silverstone was another wash-out weather-wise, as was the first round in Monza, though it set the scene for another great race on track.

When you could see the track, that is.

Despite the rain, Silverstone welcomed a car park-full of supercars, including this Bugatti Veyron, and with everyone just about dried out from the race it’s time for some desktops from the event – pick them up at the bottom of the page.

The third round of Blancpain is at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France at the beginning of July – we’ll be catching up with the series again at the end of that month when the cars take on the legendary Spa 24 Hours.
