Here's another reader submission for Meets Month – Otto Chan from Hong Kong sent us this photo of five E36 M3's coated in BMW's signature "Dakar Yellow" color.
To bring on even more envy, Otto had to point out that these are the hot Euro versions of the E36 – not the toned down version we got here in the States.

Oh thats the name for the "stick of butter colour ":P
yall complain entirely too much
Yep, 98 and 99 had a sedan option. Mine is a TiAg 98 sedan. Oh, and the sedans have better chassis rigidity. Sooo jealous that these are the s52b32 and s50b30's
DTM RWD BLISS!
I'd take the sedan anytime.
" ?????? ???"

This tunnel is seldom used, but it is public.
It was not blocking anyone anyway.
Great photo! Can we have a desktop?

The one with the black roof is cabrio??? There were M3 E36 Cabrio???
Awesome pic, truly unique! I somehow wish they were all in motion, powersliding thru the corner with a dab of opposite lock!
Well I guess the M3 sedan guy just didnt like his m3 skirts. hmm

There you have it, all three chassis were represented in this meet we had here back in 3/09, barely qualifying it for the pleasure of all you Speedhunting nutters. Oh and none of us were a son of Mr. Lee LOL
This color reminds me of a girl scout cookie box. LEMON CHALET CREMES
Desktop please
i love the sedan
@Max.N Hey i listen to alice in videoland! pretty sickkk!
for all the idiots wanting backgrounds.. have you TRIED going to the link in the picture? it has all the FULL sizes..
ppl are dumb
E36 4dr M3 was sold in UK, was quite rare could be a future classic...
There is indeed an E36 M3 cabrio. Wheeler Dealers restored one.
Sam: E36 M3s were offered with an optional Luxury package that had the M3 side-skirt delete (back to regular 3er style), among other things. Sedans often came with this feature.
True, Sedan M3s have better rigidity due to the heavier B-pillar (to support the rear doors).
Nice to see some HKers keeping the older bimmers alive. All I see there are newer ones. And lame ones at that, E46 318i, E90 320i, you name it. Would love to meet with you guys when I come back to HK!
desktop please
Hot Euro versions.. strange how a colour that no one really wanted at the time of its original launch is so sought after now.. good to see a variety of wheels chosen too!
I think the black roof is a hardtop from a cabrio M3.
if you look at the last 3,they kinda look like hatchbacks
I love that colour on E36s, it's about the only car that it would suit.
the M3 Sedan has now been written off.
Did ya'll fail to realize that the blackroof'd M3 is a 'vert ?
Fail of the batch...
Love the Dakar M3's. Nice to see such different styles all meeting at once. M3/2, M3/4 and a hardtop vert. Niceeee
