
Or more accurately, playing in the sand and gravel. There are only two hours to go until qualifying for the third round of the European GT3 championship at the Jarama circuit in central Spain. After a great first Free Practice where they posted the eighth fastest time, lead driver Edward Sandstrom in the #76 Team Need For Speed BMW Z4 Coupé attacked the fast downhill Bugatti section too hard, spun and hit the barriers. Now the team are working flat-out to repair the damage and get the car back into working order for the qualifying sessions for tomorrow's races. The clock's ticking… Will they make it?

Ugh the coverage was unbearable to watch. For some reason for the qualifying they didn't have any microphones on the cameras on track, just the announcers so it was a very bland experience. Hopefully for the races tomorrow they'll have mics again.

And it was nice to see that they could at least get the car out for the 2nd session and put up a pretty good time.
