This past Sunday, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima blasted through the 12.42 miles, 156 turns, climbed 4,720 feet in elevation, had an everage speed of 75 MPH and crossed the finish line at 14,110 feet in a blistering time of 9 minutes 51 seconds. Thus, breaking the 10 minute barrier that stood since Pikes Peak Hill Climb's inception in 1916.

Now, thanks to the guys from GoPro, you can experience the 9 minute 51 second rollercoaster ride with Monster Tajima at the helm.

Serenity, balance and focus. That's what can be seen from Mr Tajima's driving style.

However in some corners he was being so slow, almost getting to a stop, he could've gone much faster through some of the turns. Clean lines, not much drifting, bouncing... He made it look so simple as if wasn't even trying to brake any records, personal or track, yet he did brake both records! Omeveto Ogozaimasu, gambate and can't wait to hear more about your adventures and journey, mr. Monster Tajima-san!

Sure isn't like it used to be before being paved.

gets squirrely at 8:05.

It's break... b-r-e-a-k f'crissake!

Amazing footage and I was 'clenching' from 5:40 onwards as the scenery fell away vertically on the right. Some of those Armcos and solid rock markers look bloody threatening. Nice driving Tajima.

He's crazy!! :) That's freaking fast man.

On which time do we see you Linhbergh?

6

156 turns eh? that means he could have either killed himself, or other people that many times...

but with the amount of perfection he drives at, theres no way

Congratulations!!

It's weird how the camera sometimes makes it seem like the video is in fast forward or something nuts!

9

Chris Davy you sound like the kind of guy who would show up at a book signing, for your favorite author, and get on your knees right there and try to suck his dick in the middle of Barnes & Noble.

I've never felt scared watching a driving video before. Good sh*t

What an epic stretch of road, great result for Monster.....video makes it look so easy!

12

Yea, close call around 8:05 O_o

13

I THINK HE CAN GO FASTER!

14

He did a great job and broke the record... but his tentative entries into each corner made me wonder how a Millen, Unser, Rohrl or Dallenbach would do in the same car.

Monster makes it look so easy :) I personally like the part near the end when you see how big the drop is! Absolutely stunning driving
