Talk about a stroke of luck. The World Time Attack Challenge guys just happen to put a little Go-pro camera in the Revolution RX-7 last Friday at the Super Lap Battle, just in time for the 53.6 sec lap. Hit play and enjoy the film and don’t forget to check out more videos on their channel.

That was pretty incredible!

4

Amazing car.

5

that was f##king amazing, incredible grip and aceleration.

6

who was the driver?

7

Dino, in case you didn't catch what I said you the previous post.

The Mazda 13b engine features two rotors (654cc each; thus the #13).

While the 20b engine features three rotors (also 654cc each; thus the #20).

So, I don't know where you came up with that jumbo mumbo language of yours; but a 13b engine is simply composted of two rotors.

The black RX8 you posted has a 20b in it.

8

Awesome! It doesn't get much better than that!

9

'scuse me I need to go pick my jaw up off the floor.

10

I am absoiutely in love with the Revo-Tune ride!

11

Looks like that has some more in it as well! Driver made a few mistakes here and there.

12

Alex, no it doesn't have a 20B. Let me try to explain so you can get your head around all of this.

A 20B is a 20B (triple rotor). A 13B is a 13B (twin rotor). Both have the same capacity x rotor.

I think until this point we both agree. Yes?

What Revolution did is to take 3x 13B rotors and 3x 13B housings and fit them along with 20B side housings to get an tri-rotor engine which is not a 20B nor a 13B. The capacity is that of a 20B but the 13B housings have less restrictive exhausts sleeves. Peripheral ports help get good power out of the motor. Let me know if you have some additional questions.

13

Alex.. Burned!!

Dino knows his shit back to front! Dont mess with the best.

14

Q: "Why is "jumbo mumbo" Alex so annoying?"

A: "Because Alex likes Dino, but doesn't want to admit it."

15

Lol, sick burn. I assume this means the Revoluction car now holds the record... Which would mean HKS can no longer sleep easily.

16

Excluding the ARTA NSX lap Tsuchiya made, is this the new Tsukuba record?

17

Thats sick, Love the dance at the end =)

18

I love the wrist movement before he puts the hammer down. Very classy

19

Dino and Alex - FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

20

They make it look easy. Very well set-up car!

21

So we are looking the next champion of WTC?

It's brilliant.

22

@ ALEX, dude seriously, give it a rest.

The FD is amazing...and the time it ran is astonishing considering its RWD and the HKS EVO is AWD...

This video reminded me so much of why I love japanese cars since a small kid....

WOOooooo!!!!!

Thanks DINO!!!!

No, the Evo still has the record. It did a 53.5xx time. This still has more in it, but remember, it's a tube frame chassis. Not even in the same ballpark as the evos, which at least still retain the original chassis's structure. This is more like a prototype that you would see in Super GT or DTM.

Time now for a final look at the 2010 Tsukuba Super Battle, an event that seems to always come to and
