The 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend is one that Porsche won’t forget in a hurry.
Having proven themselves ultra-competitive on their highly anticipated return to Circuit de la Sarthe in 2014, Porsche had long-time Le Mans dominator Audi in their sights for 2015, and they made their intentions very clear from qualifying, locking in first, second and third spots on the grid. The two German manufacturers swapped the lead multiple times over the course of the 24-hour long race, but ultimately the strength of Porsche’s performance and uncharacteristic reliability issues for Audi determined the outcome: 919 Hybrids first and second home, and Porsche’s 17th overall win. No other brand has won Le Mans so many times.

True Porsche won and have a number of wins, but Audi is still the manufacturer to beat as they have the most consecutive wins are the ones to beat.
DieterManero That is not quiet right. Audis most consecutive wins where performed from 2004 to 2008 (5 wins) and then again from 2010 to 2014 (5 wins). Porsche still got the most consecutive wins at le mans. They finished top spot from 1981 to 1987 (7 wins).
A little trivia: Porsche's very first win at le mans was also archieved from 13 to 14th June (1970). Just like their latest victory. Congratulations to the whole team.
Great to see Audi finally get smacked around, hats off to Porsche for a great win. Even prouder of Tommy Milner taking home the win for Corvette Racing! Any way we can get a word from him again?
Porsche have more total wins
Gone there to see Nissan's LMP1 entry put up a fight against the others but the disappointment was big to see an entirely uncompetitive car. On top of that seeing Toyota doing so well last year and not standing a chance now was bitter as well.
All in all it was good to see not only Audi can win though.
