RANDOM SNAP>>READY TO GO

You might remember a while back we ran a guest blog covering the build on a ridiculous Hyundai Excel out of Australia.

Liam, the builder of this mental little Hyundai just sent us this updated photo of the car as it nears completion. We can't wait to see how it does on the track.

Please keep us updated Liam!

saw this yesterday at the australian grand prix on display. very impressive and interesting :)

Lol that was my first car xD i never thought somebody is turning an excel into a racing machine xD

ive seen one of these that they converted rwd and put a turboed v6 into

I'd like to see more on this build! Looks killer from this angle.

Hes built it around an SR20DE but he can swap it out for a few V8s he's got lying around the shop with a bit of work hehehe Been watching it come together for a couple of years. Wicked work! Liam! You gotta bring it up to Eastern Creek!!

@DiegoCRC - In Australia they are called the Hyundai Excel's.

Wow, I though the Hyundai Genesis I shot a few days ago ( http://custompinoyrides.com/2012/03/atoy-customs-genesis-amuse-2012-updates-more-power/ ) was already turning out to be an awesome build. But this Hyundai Excel is way out of this world! Awesome!

Love this, it just proved how any car can transformed into a beast if you have a heart.

I meant, SR20DE. Naturally aspirated.

Best Hyundai I have ever seen! I like it and I hate Hyundai's

Hmm ... Hyundai Excel. Suppose it's only a silhouette. Unique I suppose.

Diego it is most deffinately an excel...

@DiegoCRC In Australia (location of this build) they are called Hyundai Excels. Different names in different markets.

hmm.. the rear end reminds me of a cappuccino. none the less, interesting build!

Is a Hyundai Accent not an Excel.

the people at RMR would be proud

haha, I was literally driving home 20 minutes ago on the freeway next to a Grape Purple excel, looking at it thinking "Its not for me, but I know there are some people have turned those crappers into serious weapons".....thanks for reading my mind!

I was wondering what happened to this car. It's the best Hyundai ever! @YeloFva: That would have been interesting, but it has a Nissan SR20DET.

Impressive! I'd be even more surprised if he kept the original engine under the hood too, but somehow I doubt it.

wow that thing turned out bad ass! Most epic hyundai build ever? I think so!
