SO pumped for this years season to kick off
Since when did F1 cars have a reverse gear?
@ Joe
They have always had reverse its part of the rules. they just chose not to use it!
go go mclaren!!
i want them to do a lot better this year!!
Gorgeous F1 machine as usual. I just hope it has no teething problems like last season and can take the fight to Red Bull in Australia.
As nice as rice !!!!!
Nice to see that McLaren is getting with the program and practicing evolution and not revolution with this car. Maybe Hamilton can stop crying and ramming into people this season.
Now THAT is a worthwile specs list!
I can't get over that 18,000 rpm redline, even if that's normal for F1....wow
I don't think reverse was ever required before, but it is required in the rules this year.
This machine is on mean Racecar
if you saw how flimsy the reverse gear was you would laugh your ass off, they are so fragile they would most likely break if used more than once.
McLaren!
Go JB!! Can't wait.
Looks like they have created an Austin Powers-like parking situation for themselves there.
Looks awesome... but come on, lets go ferrari
DRS on the front wing? Have they changed the rules this year?
I think Lewis will have a much better season this year. The pressure will be on Button to hold off the challenge from Lewis. Something which Lewis will be relishing
This is such a beautiful photograph. Absolutely perfect lighting and framing.
I remember seeing the reverse gear being used during a race during Senna's time, and I know Schumacer had reverse in his Ferrari's, and I seen Alonso use it during practice last season so the FIA must've required it for a while.
I'm hoping for a much closer battle this season, it got boring real fast when Vettel was dominating last season. The thing is beautiful but I'm still in love with the MP4-26's U sidepods.
The rules have required a reverse gear for as long as I can remember and yeah an 18,000 rpm limit is normal for Formula 1. It used to be 20,000 but the rules changed a few years ago.
