Event>> Hellaflush Japan 2011 – Pt.4

Time to wrap up the coverage to Hellaflush Japan now with a few more images from what turned out to be one of the best events I have attended this year.

Out of the few vans that turned up, this previous generation Nissan Elgrand was the one that impressed the most, with a very cool white on black theme and ever so slight rear fender blistering.

Any generation of the Roadster looks spot on when slammed on cool rims, like this NA on Watanabes.

Rocky Auto displayed one of its most amazing cars to date at the Rays stand, the almost full carbon bodied S30…

…which is powered by a mighty RB30 with RB26 head running Solex 50 mm carburetors for a more than acceptable 300 HP.

This is one of the best 510s in Japan, a car I have seen countless times picking up awards at Mooneyes shows. I think the owner must have an impressive wheel collection as every time I see it, it's running on different rims!

A Honda Element on CE28Ns? Never thought I'd see such an interesting combination but it strangely worked.

How low can you go?

Mikey's crazy FD is a car we have seen before at 7's Day meetings. It never fails to impress me just how much of a great basis the FD is for complete aesthetic conversions like this particular one running Nissan Fuga headlights.

I was blown away by the quality of work that had gone into creating this Golf R32. On top of the subtle body work, not so subtle color…

…the interior reminded me of a concept car. Must be hard to keep all that white nice and clean!

I ran across Takasu-san of Work wheels and JC of Autoworks magazine chatting about all the cool cars they had seen that day. I think most people had the same opinion of the show, it was unlike anything they had ever seen in Japan and hopefully the start of something bigger.

Want to make your family wagon stand out a little?

If the pink exterior isn't going to do it, the stripped out interior will. Love the seat backs, very original.

Slammed Toyota Corona perfection.

AME had a nice selection of wheels.

This show was all about the cars but there are always some show girls lurking around.

The RX8 has to be one of the best cars to lower on a nice set of wheels like these Enkei NT03s, its factory blistered fenders requiring almost no work to accept aggressive offsets.

Much like this E36…keeping it simple.

Star Road had another nice vintage ride running on Equip 03s, this Hakosuka GT-R replica.

I never thought I'd see a Nissan Tiida looking this good!

Simply beautiful.

The Best of Show award went to this pumpkin Golf…

…the owner ecstatic after receiving his prize, a Rays forged-magnesium Formula 1 wheel.

That's it from this first Hellaflush Japan show. Like everyone out there I hope this was the first of many such gatherings. Congrats to all involved.

2

3

he got A wheel..? A wheel!??!

weird.. could become a coffee table or something.. :\

4

S30 full carbon? It's a beauty but i think most thinks are 3m di-noc wrapped!?

5

Real nice coverage Dino! I can't say wich car I like the most, they're all amazing, but Mikes FD is so cool and so is the R32 with white interior!

6

Desktop of first picture please

7

Looks like it was a great event, must have been so much fun seeing so many different genres all together.

Just about all aspects of Japan car culture; only the American cars missing. Apparently Mooneyes was there

checking the event out so that may change next year!

Agree about how classy that Tiida looks! I thought it was a MB B-class at first glance!

9

Those are not fuga headlights but V36 skyline lights.

10

Well i wouldn't mind owning an F1 mag wheel. That lamboesque front end on that elgrand looks pretty good. And yes does it rain volk wheels in japan or what?

11

Takasu-san = JDM Samir Nasri

12

still luvin da fd with fuga lights! N THE 'TROPHY' IS RAD TOOOO!!! XD

13

Car spotlight on the S30 PLEASE!!! :D

14

When can this kind of event happen in China?? Ah.. I can only wish or rather dream.....

15

More on that S30 if you have it.

16

@Sly, some people think it's cool having a piece of a formula 1 car. It's a wheel that's worth more then some peoples whole set of wheels. Extremely light also since it's magnesium. You have to know about cars to really get why it's special. Also notice the bolt pattern, having four wouldn't of helped him mounting onto any car at that show.... :/

17

also any 1 know what wheels on the nissan elgrand van ? sound, what a show unreal.

18

some amazing stuff going on there! nice pics once again

19

man that orange datsun 510 looks awesome. i need to go to japan!!

20

He only needs 3 more wheels and some center lock lugnuts for some sexy F1-VW-stance-nonsense!

21

Nice pictures and well done tuning :)

22

i cant completely identify the first car. it seems a 3rd gen chaser to me, but yeah who am i? :3

23

yup spotlight on that z. and is it running on diffrent wheels? is that a te37v?

25

why can't ugly trends just stay in the west? instead of polluting the east.

27

Wait wait wait... did that purple R32 have a manual transmission???
