Remember the spy photos we ran of appeared to be a GT3-spec R35 GT-R? Well that car, the Nssan GT-R GT3 jointly developed between NISMO and JR Motorsports, has just completed a 440km race distance over three hours. The JRM team used the fourth round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Magny-Cours in France to rack up mileage on the race car, where it finished 8th overall. So far, the NISMO GT-R GT3 has covered 1700km without any issues, making this a very successful debut.

It can't race in the ALMS, it's a GT3 car; ALMS GT cars run to GT2/GTE regulations.

The GT3 class is where it is at right now. Good decision for Nissan to race in this class. Hopefully Toyota will bring the LFA to race in the series and if Ford brings it's Mustang, GM brings it's Camaro, and Dodge brings it's Challenger to all race in the GT3 catagory, all would be right with the automotive world.

I agree with most people that the spoiler is ugly and looks dispreportioned and awkward on this version of the gtr, but as we all know on the track looks always play second fiddle to the performance
