Building a car doesn't always have to be about some crazy cross-brand engine swap or insane power mods. The simple fact of actually working on a car is a journey in itself. Marty Mulholland, from Mighty Car Mods, needed to swap over the engine in his old Subaru wagon to a whole new fresher shell and documented the process.

Watching this video makes you want to get in the garage and wrench away at your car doesn't it? Since I watched it, the thought of turbocharging my E30 has constantly been in my thoughts…

why even post this boring video.

2

That Subaru is going to get raped by my S15 Silvia soon..

3

I respect the work that is done to this "project" but it's not that interesting and special..

4

thats the way to do it! - that's given me the impetus to keep on with my long-term project..

5

Great video!

6

lol at Moog.

@Dennis: not to u but to us is.its not a full money all out build. its for us who like to do things ourselves at home.

keep up the good work MCM!!~

11

Its all about the man-car relationship people, don't you guys understand? :/

12

I love aussie car culture. you guys get to do all the cool stuff to cars without much restriction. (plus get all the cool rhd vehicles from japan) great work and best of luck with your ride!

13

Woo, MCM represent! Good to see Marty's stuff up on here, always some interesting DIY stuff going on on their Youtube channel!

14

Fantastic viewing.

I dare any of the naysayers to go out there and do the same!

Good to see an RS Lib get some lovin'. Proof positive you don't need $8k worth of wheels and your sills rubbing on the ground to have an interesting and worthy car. Top shelf stuff from the MCM boys and I look forward to Marty's wagon throwing Moog's brown-note emitting Datsun on the floor, jamming butter up its side-mounted cannon, before nuggeting its chocolate starfish like a burly oaf. Fast wagons FTW.

16

Great watch!

17

Props to the MCM guys!

18

Another decent vidio by MCM.. but not one of the most interesting :(

19

Thanks for the positive feedback people, glad you're enjoying our hard work! To the negative feedback: we realised long ago you can't please everyone, all the same still great to have it posted on this site, I'm a big fan!

WOOOOO MIGHTY CAR MODS ON SPEEDHUNTERS!! AWESOME! NOO WAIT MAAAAAAHHHDD!

Obviously all the morons who are complaining about this video have never 'worked' worked on their cars.. If you need to take your car to the wheel shop to change your rims then I have bad news for you. This video is not for you.

For the rest of us who like to kick back in the garage and work on your pride and enjoy spending time tinkering with our own cars.. this is a great view!
