Terms and Conditions

1. General

The opening time and date of the contest is Sunday 2nd September 2012 at 09:00 GMT, and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is Sunday 2nd September 2012 at 15:30 GMT. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.

2. Restrictions

This competition is open to UK residents aged 17 and over only. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of ‘Electronic Arts’ (‘EA’) (‘Promoter’), their agents and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.

3. Rules to participate

To enter, attendees of the Trax show at Silverstone Circuit are to upload a minimum of one (1) photo of their car on Twitter and/or Instagram which must be hashtagged as #FEATURETHIS.  Only one car can be entered per person. Photos are to be taken with a camera phone and must be taken on the day of the competion at the Trax Silverstone on Sunday 2nd September 2012.

During the show the top 250 entrants will be messaged on Instagram and/or Twitter to each collect oneSpeedhunters sticker from the Speedhunters’ onsite booth. Photos will be judged by a Speedhunters’ staff member against the following criteria; 50% car build quality, 25% car build originality and 25% car model type originality.

Out of the 250 top entrants ten (10) cars will be shortlisted and will be judged onsite at the event by the Speedhunters photography team against the criteria above. One (1) final winner will be chosen from the top ten (10).

No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this competition.

The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

4. Prize(s)

There will be one (1) overall winner who will receive one (1) photography shoot of their car by Bryn Musselwhite, which will then appear as a full feature post in Speedhunters. The photography session will take between two (2) and four (4) hours. The feature post will include the photographs from the shoot and an article about the car build, and will be published on Speedhunters.com before Friday 30th November 2012.

In order to receive the prize the winner will need to make their car available for one (1) weekend day at a mutually agreed UK location with the Speedhunters’ photographer before the end of October 2012.

The winner will be required to sign an Assignment of Rights.

There are no alternatives to these prizes. They are as stated and are non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of EA, EA is unable to provide the stated prizes, EA reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value.  All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier.

5. Results

The winner will be directly messaged over Instagram and Twitter with their name also called out over the PA system on Sunday 2nd September 2012 at 16.00 GMT.

If the winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by EA, EA will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.

A full list of who won will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of winners. This list can be obtained by writing to EA Easy, Västgötagatan 2, 118 27 Stockholm, Sweden.

If proof of age and/or parental consent is requested, and if satisfactory proof of age and/or parental consent is not received, EA reserves the rights to choose another winner.

6. General Conditions

Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of EA. EA is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.

By submitting your material to EA, you represent and warrant that your submission (a) is your own and original creation and does not violate or infringe the rights of any third party, including without limitation, copyrights, trademarks or trade dress, patents, or rights of publicity/privacy; (b) is not defamatory, obscene, offensive or indecent; and (c) and has not been previously published or submitted to other parties or websites. By submitting your material to EA, you also acknowledge that your material is not confidential or proprietary.  Our review of your material does not imply that we will use, develop or publish your material.  Nor does our review of your material prevent us from using, developing, publishing or marketing ideas or products that may be similar to your material.

Once you submit any material to EA, you expressly grant EA the worldwide, complete, exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable right to quote, re-post, use, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, broadcast, and otherwise communicate, and publicly display and perform the material in any form, anywhere, without attribution to you, and without notice or compensation to you of any kind.  If we decide to use, develop or publish your material, you agree to take any further steps reasonably required by EA (and at EA’s cost) to enforce and protect our rights to your material.

Assignment of Rights is a condition of claiming the prize.

Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.

7. Data protection

In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.

By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.

The Promoter of this competition is EA Swiss Sàrl, Place du Molard 8, Geneva 1204, Switzerland.

This competition is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
