Random Snap>> R31 Skyline In Kyoto

I spotted this very clean and perfectly stanced R31 Skyline a couple of weeks ago in Kyoto as it drove past the Phoenix Power shop. It was a good thing I had the camera by my side as it didn't hang around long as it waited for the traffic light to turn green, or blue rather, as they like they say in Japan!

Next up from me will be some Phoenix Power tuned goodness, don't miss it!

ONE OF THE CLEANEST STREET R31's Iv'e SEEN, I HAVE A QUESTION THOUGH, "WERE THEY ON TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN IN JAPAN WHEN RELEASED, AND WERE THEY COVITED AND POSSESED BY STREET RACERS"? HA GOOD QUESTION I WOULD LOVE AN ANSWER?

> TYLER WATTS FJAY

The R31 was a complicated child when first born. Sedan came out first, not as a sports sedan but more as a luxury car to duel with Toyota's big hit Mark II (which it did reasonably well). The Skyline coupe followed soon, looking good but heavy and with only 2 liters, could not keep up with 2.8/3 liter rivals (Soarer, Celica XX, Supra, Fairlady Z) in the tuning world. On the race track in the Japan Group A series it faired much better though.
