Car Spotlight >> Sunline Racing 370z

While at Sunline Racing I couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab some quick shots of one of the latest addition to their demo car fleet, this very aggressive looking Z34 370Z.

The Z is currently under development with new interesting parts being added all the time. To improve engine performance the stock restrictive exhaust system has been replaced with one of those titanium masterpieces Sato-san is so well known for. Together with the remapped ECU the Fairlady not only boast a little more power but if far more responsive and more willing to rev.

The Brembo brakes have been replaced with special SLR-versions of Endless' popular 6-pot calipers, finished off in red like the center bells of the 2-piece rotors.

The SLR kit includes a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper skirts as well as a rather large bi-wing carbon spoiler.

This Z34 will be slowly turned into a time attack track car which is why the stock seats have been replaced with Bride fixed bucket seats.

The carbon treatment continues onto the roof, although this is only a cover and not a complete dry-carbon replacement.

I'm sure SLR will continue to extract more performance throughout the course of the year and I really hope to be seeing this car out in action at Time Attack events in Tsukuba and Fuji Speedway.

This car is beautiful! Nice Snaps!

2

spoiler looks rediculous...

3

bring it over to the next WTAC!!!!

4

the only problem with spotlight month is that these slr cars are crying out for full features ;-( minus the spoiler, this is gorgeous.

5

I hate the 370z's...

.. but this one and the top secret make it worth while! :)

6

The kit makes the 370Z look more bearable. Nice.

7

z34's are sex. I feel like the 370 hasn't got as much publicity as it should have. change that.

8

I love this Z man! It's style is clean and not overly done.

I'm not a fan of the Z34 but this looks awesome. It would be very exciting to see a fully tuned VQ. I'm looking forward to the progress of this car. I wish people would move from the RB to the VQ engine. The R&D of private tuners hasn't quite yet caught up with that. Even engineers and drivers at Nissan said that the VQ is a whole lot better because it is lightweight and compact. I hope private tuners can recognize that.

getting back to classic s30 lines... love the 370z

11

this looks like the one first of many epic 370z's

12

awesome kit, loved this SLR although the spoiler might be too much for me

13

love the Nismo-style decals along the side, very beautiful car!

14

They should leave that spoiler off until it's a "racecar".

15

Not a fan of the 370 too tough. Also, I would have to agree with the removal of that spoiler as I can only imagine how a direct on rear shot would look. Hell no. Otherwise, I feel the kit does work well with the car. Rims are a nice contrast as well.

The carbon fiber sheet that covers the roof is wet carbon. It doesn't have to be "dry" carbon to be real. Sato san only apply the wet carbon sheet on top of the existing roof....essentially adding weight on the worst possible location.

The rear wing is the Voltex unit, and the "special SLR-brakes".....are nothing special, just simple Endless brakes. (Endless makes several colors, not only blue).

17

that's a dream I'd like to drive day by day.

18

One of the nicer 370Z's I've seen thus far.

19

Best z34 ever!

The spoiler is fine, as long as it's functional. However, the CF cover is lame. Sure it might look cool to some, but it's adding weight instead of removing weight as is the purpose of CF in the first place.

I never had high hopes for the styling of this car but with every new body kit that comes out it hard for me, not to be impresses. This is a nice ride, Cool photos

22

the roof treatment is total rice. painting it black woulda looked nicer and less poser-ish. The car is better looking than their GT-R tho. And that wing, yuck.

23

not a fan of the wing but...but it does look nice other wise

24

nice ride but hate the spoiler!!
