Well we took a 60 km/h drive around Mout Panorama in an R35 GT-R, but to put things in perspective I thought it would be cool to see how Mark Gibbs did it back in 1992 with his R32 Skyline GT-R that took first position that year. Check out the negative camber on those front wheels!

Angry fire breathing Red Godzilla, wearing white sneakers... Blasting through the mountain road!

WWWAAAOO!... Very speed R32!..

3

omg thats a difficult track and hes driving so fast..

4

Love how the cars just bounces around like it's nothing! Wonder how fast it was going down the back straight.

5

should done a feature on that car i think its was that 1 at the world time attack

6

i drove on bathurst once in a Holden Statesmen...hahaha

7

back straight speeds are excess of 250kph back then , now closer to 300

but if you get it wrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3xJpt_KpG4

If you want to see a Bathurst drive checkout Glenn Seton in the wet in the FJ20DET DR30 in 1987.

Seton can definitely swing a car.

If you want to see a hot lap of Bathurst watch this. 1987 Glenn Seton driving the FJ20DET powered DR30 Skyline in the pouring rain. This bloke can steer, note the speed difference and the amount of cars he overtakes.

He did not win in this car in 1992 Mark Skaife and Jim Richards won in their GTR

11

The R32 GTR's were clocking just over 290kp/h down Conrod straight...

12

awesome track

13

Epic car....nuts for '92.....still hardcore to this day.

14

It's a shame about a third of the lap has been edited out, but JUC.COM is right, the Richards/Skaife car won that year.

15

Does this clip predate the edition of the chase along conrod? Either that or I wasn't paying attention.

16

This is how the 1992 race ended .

The damage to the #1 GTR was from it hitting the saftey car because it was driving slower than the alloted speed for the saftey car and they couldn't stop in time.

17

It was also the race were one of the 60s & 70s most dominant sportscar drivers died doing what he loved .

The old bathurst was so much more entertaining than the supercars of today...

And Glenn Seton is an epic steerer. My uncle is part of his tech crew sometimes and he said that Glenn's 'secret' to his success and fast laps is to run the car with a little bit of understeer...bit of trivia for you all.

19

same they baned the GTR the next year!

20

So much better than V8 SuperSnoozes!!!

21

I reckon Mark Berry does it better in the dark

that car was also baned from going over to japan and racing too.
