Not to be outdone by the Lambo that Linhbergh posted earlier today, the Heffner Ford GT set a new standing mile record at an event in Florida over the weekend. The 1,900hp beast clocked 266.93 MPH.

Though the turbos spooling is always nice, would really have liked the Team America theme song playing along as well.

@ Jon: Something tells me that 266 isn't far off the top speed. In a standing mile car you want to row through all your gears as fast as possible and with 1900HP they can make gears to perfectly match the mile distance while still getting all the power they need.
Ok, the Ford GT here is plenty fast.....what a stupid fucking statement ! With 1900hp what car wouldn't be fast?
The video is shotty to say the least. It shows nothing.....There are TONS of videos on youtube with cars with that much power, are you gonna post them all?
As far as the sound goes, what do you expect from a car that makes so much power, to be silent like a Prius?
