Random Snap>> Wild Cat Looking For New Home

I noticed this sad story over on Crank and Piston the other day. This sad cat is just one (I know of another….) who is being left to die, starved of excitement or action.  It had a troubled birth in Coventry, England, when originally conceived, its power was to come from a 6.2 Litre V12. By the time she entered the world, she had grown into a bit of an overweight ‘moggie’ with a turbocharged V6.

Despite this, this cat was popular and was used on the race track, winning its class at Le Mans before a technical infringement stripped it of a win, and I assume one of its lives.

Sadly, this kitty is left dying in Qatar, allegedly with just 900km on the clock. According to Crank and Piston, the previous owner never cared for him (or is it a her) had bought the car in Dubai and was last seen in Beirut.

More images of this poor kitty over at Crank and Piston.

I have cleared a space in my garage….not sure our dogs would be impressed.

OMFG, there's only 281 production cars of this and some dickhead leaves it LIKE THIS?!?! Dude should be rolling on a rickshaw or something, he just doesn't deserve anything with an engine...

8

Dear GOD is that a XJ220??!?!? And it was left to rot like THIS?!?! 0.0

Owner should be manacled to a '73 pinto for life. One of the brown ones, too.

9

i hear there is a Raging Bull around the corner.....

10

Put this picture in with that commercial that the ASPCA is running right now...

11

kinda speechless to see this...... hope ur dogs are good with it and take this kitty home.....

12

Thats well worth the plane tickets and shipping. This car is such a rare breed, what the hell... I wonder if jaguar would be interested in retrieving this car

13

This kitty may not even wake up (start)! It pains me so much to watch this... If only i had the money, the parts, and the ability to ship it from Abu Dhabi. AWW!

I read that is was sent to that workshop (If you could call it one) very recently and that it is being worked on now. With damage to it's honeycomb structure and a failed fuel pump, it's looking rather dreary.

Hey, I live in Doha and I tell you guys...... THIS IS VERY NORMAL :(

People here don't care about sports/super cars.... I have alot of pictuers of abandoned GTR's, Silvia's, Porsche's....ect

I will send the pictuers to speedhunters admin tonight, so you have a look on how bad is it in DOHA :(

21

Mehhhhhhhh theres a ceffy behind it, ceffy ftw!

22

Now that is a project car in the making!

23

Damn!! that should be illegal.. surely some-one would want this car?!!??! ..and know its history and pedigree.. not many people can even say they've seen one of these "coolest" of the 'cool cats' on the road! such a shame.. some people just don't care or understand..

24

And we thought that Barn-Finds were over for supercars! :,(

Hope it gets fixed up bak to it's original state!

25

26

27

XJ220!!!!!!!

29

Someone should charge the owner with several counts of neglect and animal cruelty! I say that as a fellow cat lover. (tear) A legend...in shambles. (shakes head)

30

So sad... I use to own a 1/18 scale of this car.

31

HMMMM I WONDER IF THOSE RIMS WOULD FIT MY 92 CAMRY, WHERE WAS THIS LOCATED AGAIN??

32

These are one of those exotics that appears more fun to look at than actually drive. First of all, look how far the nose extends past the front wheels. Also, look how much obstructs the driver's view; the A pillars, B pillars, etc. Compare this to the new XJS GT3s, and you'll see how far JAG-OOO-ARE have come.

33

you should see what else is abandoned in that country.. it shows with so much money and no maturity gets you this.. ungrateful fucks. lets stop giving them our oil money and teach em a lesson for ditching nice cars.

34

WHAT A CRIME !!!!!!

35

It held the record for the highest top speed of a production car (350 km/h, 217 mph) until the arrival of the McLaren F1 in 1994!!!!!Damn pour jaguar! It needs respect!
