Random Snap>> Art In A Mini

I have featured some crazy exhaust setups on Speedhunters bit this one takes the crown with ease. It looks like a complete titanium exhaust with turbo piping. Maybe even cooler is the fact it has all been built into a Mini, can you believe that? Does anybody have some more info on this car?

Spotted on The Perfect Exposure, check it out for some more pictures of this crazy machine.

I don't like coming off as a hater but god do I hate showcars that try to look like race cars. Take a look at the rest of the pictures of the Mini and you'll understand.

5

that is pretty sweet...

12

That's the best exhaust ever. Damn, I wonder how much time, work, and money it took.

Im the owner of the blue mini. Check the build thread on http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=63310 . SoloTwo the mini can go on the track at anytime. All I need to do is take out the subwoofer. If you have any questions please ask.

i admire hard worked projects and this is one of them.. the exhaust pipework is like a labour of love.. it had to be, in a word over-worked and over-engineered in some people opinions - you tend to throw yourself at a project that you want to see tthrough to fruition.. sometimes you even lose interest because of the length of time things can take eg sourcing parts waiting for deliveries etc. - but i do like the car.. good work Lyle!! - and great intro/post.

the exhaust is nice...but the rest :{

Its a well made mini but the styling is crazy. There are better VTEC and R1 engined minis out there http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=71944

Its all in the purpose. This mini is one of, if not the highest rated HP VTEC minis in the world. It is a purpose built show car. Love it or hate it, it represents what I wanted to do. I don't follow the leader on a build, I come up with things no one else has done nor would attempt to try. If you cant admire that, then I guess keep doing what other people have already done. And yes I have other minis. My daily is a 08 R56, and I have a 65 Cooper S restored to original condition. This one when I bought it was destined for the crusher, I saved it and is now a show car. Once the show season is over it goes on the track.

how the hell they turn tittanium in that blue coloured aspect? can it be done on another types of metal like steinless steel?

19

Unfortunately titanium is the only alloy to color like it does, stainless can get close if you polish it, but it does not have the same hues as titanium does

HighEnd Motorsport!

We need a full Feature on this car soon! And maybe a wallpaper...

How about a bespoke exhaust...

So cool... wish i still had my '99 Mini Cooper 1.3 Mpi!

This is some of the best fab work that i've ever seen. Very creative build. Nice power BTW. I love the styling also.
