Regular Speedhunters may remember my post on the 2008 Porsche Calendar, back in September, the post proved very popular with requests to know when the 2009 edition was available.

Surfing around today, I discovered that Lotus and Porsche have released design calendars with renders and illustrations from their respective design studios.

The Lotus Calendar is a past favourite of mine. The 2009 calendar features 15 pages of development sketches, scale model photographs and digital sketches of Lotus Products.  Many of the sketches are from my old degree Colleague, Barney Hatt who was responsible for the Lotus Sport Exige Racer shown above (and the Tesla roadster).

The 2009 Lotus Design calendar includes images of the Evora and the Hot Wheels 40th Anniversary car.
The Lotus Design calendar is 42cm x 42cm and is available from their UK webstore for £8.50. It may also be available from dealers.

If your wallet is a little larger, then you might be interested in the Porsche Design ‘Style’ Calendar. This is my favourite series in the large range of Porsche calendars and diaries.

The 2009 Porsche Calendar is subtitled, “Affinities/Verwandtschaften” and uses the  Porsche Type 64 from 1938 as its starting point. The calendar shows images created by the designers showing the link to the current line-up of Porsche cars. The Calendar also comes with a screensaver on CD. The Porsche Calendar can be ordered at your national Porsche website , US Porsche specialist, Pelican Parts, or selected dealers. Be aware its not cheap!
