Aston Martin are helping publicise the upcoming 1000kms Le Mans Series race at Silverstone by displaying the 007 car outside Euston station in London for two days this week, so I had to drop by to get a picture. They'll be three Lola Aston Martins at Silverstone, with their clean sweep of the Nurburgring podium positions to live up to. It's going to be a tough ask…
The car was drawing a lot of attention from passers-by, though there weren't really a lot of obvious signs as to why it was there! Not the best piece of marketing effort. But still, they were playing the iconic Steve McQueen Le Mans film on a screen in the awning by the side of it. A fantastic car and a reminder that we'll have coverage of the race here on Speedhunters.

This car was also in my city a couple of months ago along with the Jaguark XJR-9, got a few pictures of it on my blog, awesome looking thing.
Saw it too, The classic gulf colours and elegant shape make this car stand out beautifully. Looks incredible in the flesh. Must be otherworldly to hear it roaring around LeMans. A future classic i would say.
Ya as much as I wanted the R15 to take Le Mans I almost wanted all the diesels to blow up and allow these screaming beasts to dominate the field. There is something much more romantic about a loud V12 gas engine and it makes me want the banning of diesels altogether at Le Mans. (They are kind of boring no?)
