By request of Mercedes Benz, a "grey market" ban was put into effect, blocking at port the importation of All road cars, except those approved for U.S. consumption.
To drive an Alfa 155, I'd need to buy 4 of them, give 3 copies to the NHTA, pay an obscene amount of $$$ - and still they'd say "no".
Try to import one.

@Lastspark Its low and on wheels. Like a lot of cars here, but that's speedhunters for you. At least its a bit of variety! Looks like it also has some stuff done to the interior like seats and steering wheel and the work might not stop there.

Yes, I have tried to import an Alfa. People in the U.S. have been jailed for importing Alfas.
I even wanted to cut one into pieces, and re-assemble here as a "kit car", but kit car laws have become more difficult as well.
If you don't know something to be true, kindly keep your ideas to yourself.
