Andy at Powervehicles has really been busy bringing us all these scoops from Ebisu Circuit! After Kumakubo's New D1 Laurel it's now the turn of Daigo Saito's 3.2L, 800 HP, 2JZ-powered Altezza, the car he will be using during the course of the year in the Formula D Asia series. The Altezza sports the sort of stance we have come to expect from Saito. He was only there for a short practice but Andy captured plenty of action including some detail shots of the engine, interior and suspension. Don't forget to turn up the volume!

That ridiculous wing is not going to last too long lol

2

Oo that rollcage is mad! haha.

And I definately see some american inspiration in that build.

3

Can't wait to see this all BN'd up and painted. Wing is intense, hope he can put koguchi wing on instead.

4

Powervehicles has all the hookups.

5

that thing sounds incredible!!!! And whats with the brake discs?! never seen anything like them before!

6

it sounds very throaty and screechy at the wheels, when thrown into the tight bend it looks awesome, exiting the bend and blipping the throttle it pumps out a plume of tyre smoke.. 'KDF' - i like it!

7

just curious though. did saito's mustang already got axed?

8

Such an amazing build, everything is just stunning.

Looks like they are still dialing in the suspension though?

The rear seems to have a lot more roll and squat than Daigo would be used to?

9

Looks like an extremely quality build....

the second brake caliper is for the hydraulic e brake I believe.instead of using the rear brake calipers for regular braking and ebrake he uses extra calipers directly hooked up to a seperate master cylinder.basicly a stand alone ebrake setup.

I could be wrong though

10

looks like shit.

11

What's that BOV type is? Sounds great!

12

gotta love the plastic still on the brides

What a f_ing awesome car!! I hate myself for feeling this, but it looks too much awesome crammed into too small a body - over built for drifting?
