With all this talk of historic BMW race cars and crazy drift machines, it shouldn't be forgotten that BMW's also make damn good luxo-barges – especially in 7-series form. The newer 7's are OK, but to me there's something great about the simple and classy lines of the E38 model. This Japan-based 740 is doing it right with proper VIP wheels and stance.

No 7 series they come out with will look as good as an E38.
The e38 is a nice car. However the one you posted is one damn ugly example.
Put big and ugly chrome rims like this shit on Hummers and other SUV's.
Take a normal 7 series, put some Alpina rims on it and there you go.

Meh, Japanese VIP wheels really don't work well on BMWs, methinks. Maybe it's just those, I suppose. And what's up with those sideskirts? Ugh.

Alpina rims has no lip
most of the VIP cars have a hugggee lip....
