I’m regretting a bit not heading out to NV to see this epic battle in the desert…. Looks like it was a good one…. at any rate the Riceboytv crew were there with their cameras so we can get a good sense of the action. Nice job guys!

whats controversial about takatori's skyline?
Awesome video! Big ups to the Riceboy TV crew! JDM Justin is a great video host, and did you see how much smoke Calvin's FD was putting out in his Top 16 driver introduction?! (beginning portion of the video) Damn, and I didn't know they were filming me and the girls hanging out together, caught me off guard, sheesh!
BTW: controversy on Takatori's Skyline is... I was told that certain FD drivers /teams were complaining about "legality" issues on Takatori's Skyline since they changed the front suspension to Mcpherson style... the parts were taken from another Nissan, a C33 Laurel if I remember correctly. I was half asleep at a bar when we were talking about it, so I kinda don't remember all the details, sorry.
The C34 Laurel, W34 Stagea, and ER34 all share the same platform and multi-link suspension. The Laurel and Stagea also have versions that come with strut suspension and that's what's on the Skyline. It's basically a bolt/weld in setup that works without modifying the parts or making anything fit....and it fits as is because it's all OEM from the same platform. (note: The ER34 shares almost everything with the C34 and W34 whereas this wouldn't work exactly the same on the R34 GT-R as it has a different front subframe, steering setup, etc.) Anyways, the rulebook says it has to remain OEM (which it is) but other teams are complaining about the switch from multilink to strut, referencing another rule that isn't being enforced consistantly...
In short, we've been fined and had all our qualifying points taken away...it sucks but we're not done fighting yet.
Ah, I see now thanks.
