Spotted so many gems in the background too. Like the ’54 Kaiser Darrin. And the blue shape on the left side of the photo with Elvis’ Pantera is a Davis Divan. There’s an interesting story about the background of the three-wheeled car and the company founder (and his jail sentence). We have a yellow one at work, which still runs.
We did an exchange with the Peterson a few years ago. We loaned them our 1984 Honda City Turbo (with Motocompo) for several months, and they loaned us their… um… great, now I can’t remember. I’ll have to ask the boss tomorrow.
Anyway, even though I usually connect at LAX on my way to Narita, I haven’t made time to stop by and check their place out. I’ll definitely have to correct that error soon. Their basement looks cleaner than ours, and about as stuffed.

NielsWiddau That Rolls Phantom actually has a very interesting past. Bodied by Jonckheere Carrossiers for the an Indian Raja originally…from there it passed hands until an American bought it in very bad shape and then painted it in gold and used it as a sort of vaudeville side show with people paying to see it. The Petersen Museum oversaw it’s renovation.

as much as I love the rarity of the supercars, the gorgeous old Ferraris and Jags, historic muscle etc……NOTHING compares to that Phantom. Looks like it would leave a wake of class while it oozed down the street. If there was ever a reason for me to be on a red carpet, THAT would be what I was dropped off in.
