I was backing up some of my recent photos onto external hard disk this afternoon when I realized that I haven't made any desktop wallpapers from the 2008 Nismo Festival yet. I liked this shot of Hoshino-san in the Calsonic Group A R32 Skyline, so I started there. Widescreen and standard versions are available now in the Desktops section. Also, if there's other Nismo Fest pics you guys want in high res, let me know and I'll try to upload some. After all, Christmas is coming up in a couple of days......

Time for a little more Nissan goodness from the archive as I post up a few of the track-tuned Skyline GT-R's I've spotted at Tsukuba Circuit over the past year. There is no place where a GT-R is more at home than running around a track like Tsukuba. It is surely one of the best places in Japan to see tuned GT-R's at their best. The car has stood the test of time and even the oldest BNR32 GT-R models are still found in abundance at Japan's racing circuits. Nearly seven years after they disappeared from the market, the original RB26-powered GT-R is still one of the quintessential Japanese performance cars....

My first taste of Time Attack in the UK came last weekend when the circus came to the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. I have already featured the Zen Performance Impreza on SpeedHunters but the Sainted Editor, still in steamy Japan, requested a gallery feature on the Pro Class event. So it would seem appropriate to start with the car that ran a consistent second to the Zen effort, the Lotus Elise of Steve Guglielmi which turned in a time only 3/10ths shy of the record breaking Impreza....

The Nissan Skyline R32 is a car that has a large following from car enthusiasts around the world. It was the first Skyline that had the iconic RB26 engine fitted. In no time all the major tuners in Japan jumped on this car and started making aftermarket parts for it. The R32 started its life back in 1989 and it it is still a car that is very much sought after by people around the world. These days there are enough import companies that can help you in finding a nice and clean example straight from...

One awesome shot of the famous Garage Saurus R32. The car is running a stroked RB 2.7 liter with 780ps from a T88 turbo. Picture courtesy of Garage Saurus

I’m a great fan of Garage Saurus. In the past they have build some really outstanding cars, like their R32 Drag R that ran consistent 9 second runs on the quarter mile. They even have a race team called 884 Racing. Some of the top contenders in the Japanese Drag Series are in that team. One of those cars is this Skyline R32. It was built by Garage Saurus for a customer that wanted to race it on the circuit and on the drag strip. For the quarter mile it recorded a time of 9.167 seconds. What...
