Ok get ready for one of the best Speedhunters films yet... this video was shot at the FIA GT Spa 24H race this past August and features a custom music score by my man, Ekstrak out of his London, UK music studio....

Regular readers will know that September is Porsche month here on SpeedHunters and Rod, Antonio and I trekked around Europe back in July eventually reaching Spa Francorchamps for the annual 24 Hours race. So what better way to round off a month considering the best of Porsche with a homage to one of the great temples of speed, the old Spa Francorchamps circuit. Many of you will know already of Spa, where the Grand prix circus plies its trade annually, treating the difficult, very fast track with...

In the mid-90s, my wife and I moved to London to pursue a dream of directing music videos in the UK scene. This of course, was not such an easy manuever. It was quite a huge challenge to go to a large, foreign city to get started in a freelance career.... Pretty stressful times I have to say, although I wouldn't be where I am today unless I put myself through that hardship.... A particularly tough scenario I had to deal with during this period of my life was, I had to endure seven whole years...

As we prepare to wrap up our Porsche themed month here on Speedhunters, I thought I'd post some photos of FIA GT cars running uphill at one of the most famous corners in the world of GT racing and Formula One - Eau Rouge . This famously treacherous corner is part of the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. Eau Rouge gets its name from a Belgian stream/river by the same name; the famous uphill corner is located at the point where the Spa circuit crosses over the stream. Above is a photo I...

I was just looking through the photos on my small Canon point-and-shoot Ixy Digital 910IS, and I spotted a photo I took of the food vendors at Spa Francorchamps... seeing the photo brought back the aroma of the huge stacks of freshly made Belgian waffles they were making, right there at the circuit! I mean, who can resist Belgian waffles... especially when you're in Belgium ! Anyway, as we were taking in the buttery sweet smell of the waffles, we were seeing and hearing some amazing sights and...

In the past few weeks, we've been in Japan, so the Speedhunters website has been going crazy with photos and stories from our trip. As you can imagine, I have a million more photos dealing with legendary Japanese drifters and street drifting style... but we just thought we'd break things up a bit and show off some more scenes from our trip to Europe a few weeks ago. Rod was telling me last night, "hmmm it might be good to show something other than drifting m8, some people are saying...

This trip has been soo incredibly crazy. We've been traveling all over Europe, the UK, and Japan to explore the car cultures in different countries. Currently we're in Japan, so our content has been very drift focused. That definitely isn't a problem for me, because I love drifting and everything about it! Our resident sports car pro, John Brooks, proved to us that he's the man when we were at Spa. He and our new buddy David Lister busted out their arsenal of long range weapons as...

Tales from the Forest……….. In Europe each year we have three famous 24-Hour races on three famous circuits. Le Mans is known by everyone and is the pinnacle of endurance racing with full works entries and massive factory involvement. There is worldwide media coverage on a par with any Grand Prix or NASCAR race and there are fans that follow this race to the exclusion of all others. It is arguably the most famous motorsport event on the planet. Winning here will overshadow any...

While I was walking through the paddock on Friday I spotted this car in one of the pit boxes. I recognized the car as a Donkervoort D8 GT. It's the first Donkervoort with a carbon fiber hardtop. The car weighs about 650kg and you can choose between three types of engines. All the engines are built by Audi and the most powerful one has 270hp. All cars are built in Holland in a town called Lelystad were they opened a brand new production facility in 2000......

One weekend, two of the most beautiful circuits in the World and a bunch of cool guys. That pretty much sums up my weekend with Rod, Antonio and John. I really had one of the coolest automotive weekends of my live. I left real early on Friday morning and drove to Liege in Belgium where Rod and the rest of the Speedhunters crew were staying. Once I arrived we headed straight to Spa and had a look at the training sessions on the circuit......

The 24Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was just insane. Our resident sports car pro, John Brooks , will be posting up a more complete event report very soon, but for now I just thought you guys might like to see this moment I captured on pit lane. The Spa 24H was such an awesome experience. Prior to attending this race, I admittedly wasn't the biggest fan of this type of racing - after all, drifting changed my life. Don't get me wrong... I always thought these 24 hour races like LeMans and Spa...

Hey everyone, we're here at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps racing circuit in Belgium. The 2008 Total 24 Hours race at Spa is just about to begin, so I just thought I'd go up to the media center to show you all some photos of the on-track action over here. These particular pics were taken during practice yesterday. Check out this photo from the Les Combes section of the massive Spa Circuit. Porsche Bi-turbo (that's what they call twin turbo cars here in Europe) 996 GT2-R vs Corvette Z06...

One of the world's greatest racing tracks... and we have this machine with us..... Went out today to shoot a story about this new car at the remains of the fearsome old Spa track... Check the vintage guardrails left over from the 1970s.... I think I must be a bit of a wimpy driver in my old age. When I was young I think my self esteem was directly hard wired to how fast I drove; however these days are long gone. Driving this car today I don't think I got over 70 kph! I'm lame I know....
