Throughout this month I'm going to be digging through my archive of old photos and posting up some of my favorite Nissan shots from various events and track days here in Japan. First up, I wanted to look at some the Nissan Silvia and 180SX grip/time attack cars that I have seen at Tsukuba Circuit over the past several months. When it comes to time attack cars, the AWD GT-R, Evo, Impreza, and the FR S2000 and FD3S come to mind, but the S-chassis also has very large following among grip racers in Japan....

They say that racing improves the breed, they also say that win on Sunday, sell on Monday. Both are clichés but contain more than a grain of truth. And that truth provides the motivation for the Driftworks Company to showcase the products available at their on line store. Of course having a bit of fun along the way also plays a part too, as Phil Morrison admitted to me. Driftworks was set up nearly 5 years ago and provides a top quality parts services to all levels of the drifting community...

This wheel was spotted on a Nissan S15 during a Australian car show. The car has the best of both worlds, it sports some serious power and has some nice parts to show it off. The most striking part of the car are the wheels, they are a set of Gram Lights 57s-pro with a titanium coated outer edge. These wheels will give you some serious styling points on any carshow. The picture was taken by Felix Alim -Jeroen Willemsen Gram Lights , spotted on the racer86 blog

You know sometimes I feel guilty about being such a drifting fanboy.... aren't we supposed to be avoiding the creation of smoke to save the planet?.. hmmm...
Anyway Phil Morrison in his S15, certainly can be said have personally increased the average temperature in the UK by at least a few degrees..... Check this video that Driftworks shot over the weekend at the JDM Allstars/Pro Drift event.

As Mike already mentioned in his event report of the Drift Australia Season Finale , it was a busy weekend for the drifting community. In the same weekend Europe witnessed the final of the Prodrift European Series and the JDM Allstars, who decided to join forces and give the audience one hell of an event. It was held on the Lydden Hill Circuit in the UK, that meant that a lot of drivers from Ireland made the journey to compete against UK's finest. Lydden Hill is famous for their high curbing...

We're at the Super GT race at Suzuka Circuit right now, but we're on a break... so instead of walking around downstairs trying to get phone numbers from umbrella girls, I thought I'd just post some photos I shot from the Ebisu Circuit Natsumatsuri... here's some detail photos of the black S15 Silvia that I saw over at Ebisu West Course. The car was built by Ohki-san at Tex Modify in Ibaragi Japan. You can tell from the exterior, the car looks pretty menacing because of the low stance...

While looking for information on the Prodrift series a few days ago, I came across this hybrid car. I have heard a lot about the LS2 engine and people wanting to put into their car, seems like there are many advantages to running a big torque engine...... Personally, I'm not very familiar with the LS2 engine or any other engine derived from it..... All I know is that this engine came out of a Vauxhall Monaro (Vauxhall is part of the GM group and is also called a Opel in other countries) and the...

Just a really cool shot of Yashio Factory's Kazuyoshi "Oka-Chan" Okamura having some fun in his new S15 Silvia demo car. The new aero looks really fresh with the car's white paint and matching white Advan RGII's. An interesting contrast from the pink and gold seen on mosy YF cars. Even six years after it was discontinued, the S15's styling continues to look modern alongside today's cars......

Shot during the latest Drift What You Brung event on Santa Pod in the UK, the Driftworks S15 looks menacing even without the frontbumper. The car has too much to feature to just mention here in a random snap so expect a full feature soon. The picture was shot by Sbooker, a member on the Driftworks forum . ps, yes that's the exhaust -Jeroen Willemsen

When one my blogging buddies at OG Made posted a small picture of an S15 with some Work Wheels I was immediately impressed by its stance and overall awesomeness. I had to know more about this car, after some emails I got the email address of the owner Terry. Luckily for me he was pleased to hear I was looking for him and was in desperate need for some more pictures and info on the car. I really like what Terry has done to his car, he didn't go all out on the exterior department but instead he...

Now that you have seen the first day of action from the D1 Grand Prix Tokyo Drift exhibition round as plus the demo runs and girls from the event, it's time to wrap our coverage with a look at Sunday's exhibition contest. It would turn out to be a very exciting day......

The S15 Silvia from Rauh Welt is like the cult classic of Japanese tuner cars. It may not have quite the recognition of something like the Cyber Evo or Top Secret Supra, but the people that see this car usually go crazy over it. If the car in the picture above doesn't look familiar, that's because this car used to be painted in a flat black color scheme. If you read Auto Otaku, you have probably seen my photos of the old version. I was at Tsukuba the other day where a number of Rauh Welt...
