Thanks to my fellow Speedhunters Andy and Rod we can see the R35's that were present during the Sema show. I will make another User Ranking post out of this because the first one was a success. We saw that the muscle cars were very popular at Sema, but I'm not really into those kind of cars so I'm glad I can show you these Nissan's. I felt that Sema was a bit too early to really make the R35 stand out. There is not a whole lot available except carbon lips, exhausts and a bodykit made...

All our eyes are focused on the Red Bull World Drifting Championship, we would almost forget that the Spoon NSX-R is doing its round during the Macua GP . Mike featured the car already but not in the state it is now. The driver, Tatsuru Ichishima, crashed the car after qualifying in 9 th place. In the last corner he lost control and crashed the car. Luckily the driver walked away without any harm, we only hope they can repair the car in time for the race. -Jeroen Willemsen Found on GT Channel

Because it is Nissan month I thought it would be a good idea to let you choose which Nissan you think is the best car in the 2008 D1GP season. I'm not interested in which car has the most top 3 finishes or the car with the most horsepower. I just want to know which one is your personal favorite. The car in the opening picture has seen a lot of transformations and belongs to crowd favorite Ken Nomura. Of course it's my favorite car because I have driven his Street legal version for a few years...

I'm an avid reader of multiple restoration and build up threads on several different forums on the World wide web. I really like it when a user is willing to share his precious metal and documents his build. This Hakosuka you see was bought in Japan and imported to Sydney Australia it is being restored by one of the moderators on the Japanese Nostalgic Car forum. The way he documents his build is really impressive and on top of that he does almost everything himself. You can log on to his thread...

Because it is Nissan month I will be making a few random snaps with Nissans only and other Nissan related posts. First up is this S13 that Mike could have taken during one of his visits to Tsukuba or a similar race track in Japan. At first I was not sure which side of the car I would post because I'm a sucker for the rear of a car. In the end I decided to go with the front. The wheels are a set of Volk Racing CE28n, just look at the fitment in the rear, that's close to perfection right? I...

I moved to a new apartment in a different city not too long ago, and it seems that there are some serious BMW affiniados here. I have seen a lot of BMW 02's lately, I have really started to like these cars. I remember Antonio found a BMW 2002 when we were in Spa to shoot the 24hrs race, he showed me some pictures on his camera and since then I have been looking for some nice examples in the neighborhood. The car in the picture is based in Australia and rocks some solid go fast parts like the...

The Street racers in Italy will have a hard time outrunning this Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia. The car was donated by Lamborghini to the Italian State Police. It will replace the Gallardo that was introduced in 2004. The car will be used by the Lazio Highway Police Department to sustain the security on the Italian highways. For Lamborghini it is a showcase to ensure the reliability of their cars, the first Gallardo that was introduced back in 2004 already clocked 87.000 miles. 30 officers...

A Custom Car expert and JDM enthusiast born and living in the wrong country. Well, that pretty much sums up Rik Hoving and me. A few weeks ago, Rod told me he had a special assignment for me. There was a guy living in Holland that had built up the largest internet Custom Car photo collections anywhere. I'm not a person who is an expert on these American Customs but because Rik lives in Holland it meant that the communication was much easier. Another cool thing was that I could learn a thing or...

I just can't stop staring at this photo, the car looks so good in so many ways. The gold wheels, they look like 18", together with the Fujita Engineering Version 2 bodykit are a perfect match with the classic lines of the FD RX7. I know some you purists don't want to see any bodykit on a RX7, but I feel that the Fujita Kit pulls it off nicely. What do you guys consider the best bodykit for the FD? -Jeroen Willemsen Fujita Engineering

This wheel was spotted on a Nissan S15 during a Australian car show. The car has the best of both worlds, it sports some serious power and has some nice parts to show it off. The most striking part of the car are the wheels, they are a set of Gram Lights 57s-pro with a titanium coated outer edge. These wheels will give you some serious styling points on any carshow. The picture was taken by Felix Alim -Jeroen Willemsen Gram Lights , spotted on the racer86 blog

It's hard to choose between these two cars. Both cars are special in their own way. The S2000 GT1 build by Amuse and the Spoon S2000 have shown what they are worth. The cars you see in the pictures are customer cars photographed by Chester NG who lives in Hong Kong. Both customers have gone through the products database from their favorite tuner and ordered everything there was. I'm still a big fan of the ‘orange' Amuse S2000 that was used in several Hot Version DVD's. Keiichi...

How much do you really need to make a car look good? According to this picture not a whole lot. Just put on some wide wheels, adjust your camber and drop it like it's hot (yeah I know it's lame but it's true). Does anyone know this car? Or has more pictures of it? I would love to see more of it. You can put on all sorts of crazy bodykits but with the right wheels and offset you have a instant winner. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on the JDM Style Tuning forum

While browsing through some blogs the other day I found this 260Z 2+2 on the Corner Balance blog. I never really heard of a 2+2 Nissan Z. So after some email contact with Kwame Asante from Z1 Performance I got some more information. He even provided me the original source of the photo's on Zclub . The car itself was a restoration project and it turned out more than nice. It surprised me that the owner lives in Ireland. I really love what they are doing to cars in the UK and Ireland, the rest...

There are certain cars that make an lasting impression, and it's no different with this 180SX. I have seen this car on so many automotive forums from around the world, I knew I had to feature it here on Speedhunters. Last weekend, I had a party at my house with lots of friends, not all of them are into cars, and when I showed them these pictures even they said ‘Hell Yeah'. That's the same feeling I got when I first saw this car. This root beer colored 180SX belongs to Joshua Maghirang...

Ben Schaffer from The Real JDM had some interesting posts regarding rear mounted radiators. I have featured a few cars with the same setup. Ben posted a few pictures of the Top Secret build V12 Supra. This car also has a rear mounted radiator but instead of removing all the interior parts, this car still has all the luxuries. ‘Smokey' Nagata made a real effort to build a car that is still drivable on a daily basis and looks good doing so. This car really pushes the boundaries on many levels...

After I promised you guys to make a car feature of the Denstsport 240RS, here it is. I have been in contact with Bill Washburn from Denstsport about this car who drove the car during the GT Live Red Line Time Attack event. It seems that more and more car builders are giving more attention to how the air flows around the car. Same goes for Dentsport, the rear quarters are cut in half to let the air pass as smooth as possible. In the opening picture you can see the diffuser they used during a time...

Thanks to one of my blogging buddies at Alien2nrs who lives in Finland we can see some of the cars that were present during the X-Treme Car Show in Helsinki. The Skyline R32 in the opening picture is his car. It was build by Bee*R in Japan and is one of a few cars outside Japan that wears the original bodykit. The graphics aren't there to please everybody but you gotta make your sponsors proud. The Event organizer X-Treme is an organization that hosts various car related events in Finland and...

A couple of days ago I got a tip from one our readers who lives in the UK. He gave me a link and the only thing he said was "I know you will like this". When I pressed the link, I got confronted with the car you see before you and I was blown away. This car has been in the making for the past three years and it started its life as an ‘ordinay' Nissan S14A. When I was browsing through the pictures I didn't recognize the bodykit or any of the other stuff on the car. That's...

When I was looking for some photo's of The Athens Tuning Show I came across a topic on the Driftworks forum, one of the posters there posted a nice collection of photo's of the event. The Athens Tuning Show is the biggest car event in Greece, it's a mix between new cars from manufacturers and tuners from Europe. Together with the indoor show they also have a action arena outside where you can see drifters and some other special acts. This year, same as last year, Team Orange made an appearance...

I'm not a big fan of the Subaru Impreza, but I do see a lot of potential in them. Especially when they are mated with a set of classic BBS wheels. I really like the stance of this car, and I feel that the BBS RS can make any car look good. I also saw a red Impreza with gold BBS wheels, but that combination didn't worked well. The black of this Impreza together with the silver of the wheels looks much better. What do you think about this setup? -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on JDM Style Tuning
