What do you get when you combine an badass car with an awesome driver in a really cool location mixed with some fantastic film work? You get this fantastic video of Ken Block doing some gymkhana practice in his 530whp Impreza STI. This is seriously one of the coolest car videos I have ever seen. Watch and enjoy.

Clash production has just released an excellent hd video compilation of the Richard Clark Motorsport Impreza time attack car from the UK. You might remember that we also did our own car tour video on this 850hp monster earlier this year. The car, which is driven by Ollie Clark had a dominant season in 2008 with four wins as well as the season championship in the Pro Class of the UK TIme Attack series. Man, I would LOVE to see this car make the trip to Japan to run at Tsukuba and see how it does against Japan's best. For now, enjoy this high energy video set to the beats of some old school Chemical Brothers.

The UK Time Attack series wrapped up its eventful 2008 season this past weekend at Snetterton Race Circuit and the event would determine the final season standings. In what was seemingly typical UK weather, the day got started under foggy, damp conditions but by the end the event day it appears that conditions were pretty pleasant. Lee Chung was there shooting the event and he has again allowed us to use his photos to share some of the action. Judging by this opening shot, I'd say that Snetterton looks like a pretty scenic course, and a great setting for some fall time time attack action....

I'm not a big fan of the Subaru Impreza, but I do see a lot of potential in them. Especially when they are mated with a set of classic BBS wheels. I really like the stance of this car, and I feel that the BBS RS can make any car look good. I also saw a red Impreza with gold BBS wheels, but that combination didn't worked well. The black of this Impreza together with the silver of the wheels looks much better. What do you think about this setup? -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on JDM Style Tuning

My first taste of Time Attack in the UK came last weekend when the circus came to the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. I have already featured the Zen Performance Impreza on SpeedHunters but the Sainted Editor, still in steamy Japan, requested a gallery feature on the Pro Class event. So it would seem appropriate to start with the car that ran a consistent second to the Zen effort, the Lotus Elise of Steve Guglielmi which turned in a time only 3/10ths shy of the record breaking Impreza....

The icon flashing was the first warning...........mail received.............from the Sainted Editor while on his Japanese trip.............Get down to Brands Hatch on Sunday...........Time Attack and do a feature on the ZEN Performance Subaru.............so knowing nothing about the sport or its competitors I steered my old jalopy round the M25 and in through the gates of the famous Kent race circuit. After wondering about trying to size up the event (more later) I slid on down to the pitlane and...

ESPN's 'X' Games took place last weekend in Carson, California. The X Games is an annual event which focuses on extreme action sports. This stunning picture shows Ken Block landing hard, damaging his Subaru Impreza radiator in this incident. This enabled eventual winner, Travis Pastrana to beat Ken in the Semi Finals and then win the Rally based (its not real rallying!) element of the games. After his success with the Sun Auto's Cyber Evo, 'Tarzan' Yamada has commissioned Cusco to build him a new Time Attack car. This time it's different because now he will campaign this car as Team Tarzan, and he will drive the car himself in the various Time Attack series. Cusco has brought in heavyweights like Tomei and Voltex to help build the car......

Thanks to Jonathan Wong and the crew at Super Street Magazine, we have some photos and results from the Super Lap Qualifying event that was held at Willow Springs International Raceway earlier this month. Although the scorching summertime desert heat does not quite make for ideal time attack conditions, many of the big names in American time attack came out and ran for the chance to compete in the final event at Buttonwillow Raceway in November. The drivers list included many big names like Formula D stars Tanner Foust and Tyler McQuarrie and of course Speedhunter Chris Rado in his World Racing Scion TC time attack car which is pictured above......

So it seems like cars with aggressive wheels are becoming quite common here on Speedhunters. Tonight I was doing my usual browsing through Japan's Minkara site when I stumbled across what is in my opinion the coolest Impreza ever. The car is owned by "Itakichi" of Wakayama Prefecture and while it is sporting a whole host of performance of modifications that see use on both the street and the track, I am going to focus on what really makes this car special. The wheels and stance......

This past weekend was a busy one for time attack action around the world. In addition to the inaugural Australian Super Lap event, we also saw the fourth round of the UK Time Attack series at Oulton Park. All accounts say that this round was the most challenging of the Time Attack season so far and the weather should be to blame for that one. In typically strange fashion, the weather during the event would go back and forth from sunny to rainy seemingly instantly. Thanks to Lee Chungster who was trackside at Oulton Park, we have some great photos from the event. Looking through thees photos, you would think the "dry" photos and the "wet" photos were taken on different days......

As the time attack movement continues to spread around the world, we want to showcase some of the different series and the types of cars that can be found in them. What better place to start than in the UK where the Time Attack Championship is done on a greater scale than anything in the United States or even Japan, the so-called "birthplace" of time attack as a motorsport......

During the fifth round of Rally America, Team Subaru debuted their new 2008 Impreza driven by Travis Pastrana and Ken Block. They both race for the Subaru Rally Team USA. The fifth round was held on the Susquehannock Trail in Pennsylvania, the following pictures are from that rally. Ken Block was able to finish the race but Pastrana suffered from damage to the car and had to give up. How cool is this last shot? The drivers and cars have to drive from stage to stage on the public roads. For more info...

Who likes to watch rally like I do? It's that time of year again... the Pike's Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado is about a month and a half away. Since I was looking through my hard drives for some photos, I decided to dig up and share some of these Pike's Peak rally photos I shot. In 2005, I got to go back to Pike's Peak in Colorado to shoot part of the historic hillclimb event. It was my second time at the famous "Race to the Clouds," and I was super excited to...

Man, I am really starting to envy you guys in the UK! Even in Japan they don't have these awesome time attack and drifting combo events. Before the Time Attack guys were even done recovering from the Knockhill event, it was time to do it all again at Silverstone. The Silverstone round proved to full of action and by the end of the day, three new Time Attack records were set. Rod mentioned how just how big the time attack scene is getting in the UK and I have to agree with him. The level of the drivers and teams is equal to and maybe even higher than that of the United States, and possibly Japan as well....

By now you have probably heard all about the upcoming rear wheel drive coupe that will be made as collaboration between Subaru and Toyota. You have probably also heard that only Japan will be getting the Toyota version while the Subaru version will be sold worldwide. Nonetheless, the introduction of this car could have a big impact on the tuning market and the motorsports world. I know a lot of hardcore Toyota enthusiasts were hoping this car would be a revival of the AE86, but it appears it will...

First, we have our team leader Nobushige Kumakubo's Lancer Evolution 9. This car has had the engine changed from a horizontal position to a...

The guys at Nihon Car have picked up on a photo published in Japan's Car Top Magazine of what may very well be the next generation Subaru Impreza STI Spec C. If it's anything like the past models it should be more than worth the wait. I just wonder if Subaru will ever decide to import this version to the USA. I think the die hard American Scooby fans would eat up something like this if it were to appear at stateside Subaru dealers. Nihon Car Subaru -Mike Garrett
