So what have our favorite Formula 1 personalities been doing over the summer break?

David Coulthard found himself at the Circuit of the Americas construction site in Texas driving a Red Bull F1 around some dusty dirt roads, not unlike them Duke boys in their Dodge Charger.

How to broke an f1 car !

3

Is this a preview of Pikes Peak 2012? :-)

4

SICK. :) but that is a damn shame through gravel

5

What a useless waste of millions of dollars worth of car...methinks someone in marketing needs a head check.

6

Doing it like a BOSS!

Great video.

7

Not really liking the dirt segment. At all. For the level F1 operates on, this is f*ckin silly, straight up. A waste of resources, but I guess it's a drop in the bucket for a massive company like red bull.

8

Every time I see a Red Bull F1 promo video like this one I get the impression that they have WAY too much money on their hands.

9

kind of random

10

That is the crazy. I am so excited that F1 is coming to the United States.

11

Not much people digging this dirt segment. I see what they're saying, but I think it is more about getting the actual people in Austin exicted about the upcoming GP in their town. People have to keep in mind that F1 is not nearly as huge in the US as it is elsewhere so any kind of exposure to these people is positive for F1, it's teams, and sponsors.

12

Red Bull just wanted to be the first team to say they drove theri F1 car on the TOA.

13

WHAT THE! how many cans of red bull did the team have to do this lol

14

That was interesting but wierd. Was it a testing session of some sort?

If it was a demo, was pretty lame....

16

racing on dirt would be the only thing to make F1 intresting

17

Utterly pointless... F1 is dull at the best of times, driving that slowly on dirt just caused yawning amongst the old ladies here in the care home. 1/10

18

Track looks a little dusty.

I could do a better demo in the parking lot here.

19

Gravel is the new tarmac.

20

awesome!! F1 Texas get the track ready I will be attending

21

To me it just looks like covered testing... You can see alot of aerodynamic flow when riding through dust and dirt, and that seems what they intended, just watch the video carefully.

22

With Slicks ??

23

Needs to go to pike peak. I bet will break under 10 minutes.

24

LM effin AO. PEEWEE: you sound like a typical car douche......that is easily the most impractical/cost-heavy form of aero testing i've ever heard. thankfully u don't sound like anybody intelligent enough to manage and/or control large company funds.

what a boring video. it's laughable how much money would have been involved to put that F1 on the dirt just to have such a shit-house/amateur final video.

25

what assholes.

26

waste of my time

27

K1: For sure, aero testing is banned during the season if im not msitaken? This wouldn't be the first time someone would do it... And surelly riding an F1 on a construction site is going to make more money than winnig or what?

I run a racecar company that is doing quite well, thank you :)
