A new week of Speedhunting is about to kick off, but before that happens, it’s time to take a quick look at some of the videos we’ve been watching over the past seven days.
First up, it’s a new clip from Car Throttle, starring a humble, homebuilt ’76 Honda Civic…
An unlikely base for a hardcore Honda project car build this little SB might be, but it’s obvious that its owner/builder, Georges Champomier, wouldn’t have it any other away. No stone has been left unturned in the Civic’s recreation, and with a D16A9 DOHC 16-valve engine up front, the lightweight Civic is definitely not short on performance or personality.
Next, we have a 20-year-old video from McLaren; or more specifically, McLaren F1 GTR in-car from the 4 Hours of Anderstorp race, which was the fifth round of the 1996 BPR Global GT Series. Enough said…
We always enjoy watching Network A‘s Tuerck’d series videos, but this new release in which Ryan Tuerck drifts the Monticello Motor Club circuit is extra special because of a certain Nissan Skyline. Japanese tuning company Signal Auto made a bit of a name for itself stateside in the ’90s and ’00s – first in sport compact drag racing, then drifting – and anyone who knows the name will surely have heard of its BNR34 GT-R, as finished in Maziora paint and packing a 1000hp+ punch. It’s great to see that this car still exists and still gets driven hard, although things could have gone a little better for this demo…
Finally this week we have a 360-degree in-car video from Nismo TV, albeit with a difference. This time it’s not a track attack, but a tour of a GT-R GT3 Nismo’s cockpit from team driver Matt Simmons.

Fortunately we didn't get TUERCK'D too hard, one of the crank case breather hoses just popped off the catch can. Nothing catastrophic and a quick fix so we could get the car back on the track for Chris Duplessis to tandem with Ryan. A truly awesome day, some of the most fun I've had in a long time!

That guys seemingly complete lack of knowledge about that beautiful Signal ex-demo car was enough for me to stop watching the Tuerck'd thing haha. That thing is a piece of Japanese history, shame to see it being "beat on" as a drift car now.
