Well, it’s early November, so you know what that means. SEMA. This week, automotive industry members and car enthusiasts from around the world are gathering in Las Vegas for one of the planet’s largest and craziest car shows. Needless to say, the Speedhunters will be out in force.
You can expect all sorts of SEMA Show stories as the week goes on and we walk dozens of miles across the Las Vegas Convention Center.
We’ll have event coverage, spotlights on our favorite vehicles and plenty of live updates on our Instagram channel so you can stay in the loop. The show doesn’t officially open until Tuesday, but we’ve already taken a peek inside and know there’s plenty of cool stuff being shown this year.
It’s gonna be wild – as the SEMA Show always is. So stay tuned to these pages throughout the week as we make sure what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas.

JakWhite PeterJ Personally I think it's gone a bit too far(or not far enough depending how you look at it). Something no longer gels for me....is it street with race feels, or is it race while still trying to retain street feels. I'll see if it grows on me.

Spaghetti JakWhite PeterJ That's kind of the point. The car doesn't fit in any "genre", it's a bizarre mix of all things automotive.
That car is a showcar and a half. Even though I'm an oldschool ride guy I wouldn't mind having that in my garage!
It's certainly taken on the more is more thing pretty well. I'm more of a less is more person. No hate, just not feeling it as much as I used to.

Yah. You have to be in the industry and be a part of SEMA i.e. paying your yearly dues.

JakWhite PeterJ Spaghetti AceAndrew2 I'm a purist so I love when someone does this type of thing. This is no longer a street machine, because racecar. Is that multi point suspension, aluminum buckets, fancy stiffened a pillars? It looks like a CSL homage made out of a 5 series.

If it gets tracked, and tracked hard, then I'm all for it. If it's been built to look like it'll go to the track, but doesn't, then I'll be let down. That'll make it a build purely for "likes" and attention, which would be sad IMO. And even though all Rusty incarnations have been about attention, at least all the previous builds saw the street, which I doubt this will. Hoping it sees hard track time, not just show/internet time.
Wildcardfox Actually, you can go online and buy a ticket as a buyer for about $35 or so. And the ticket is good for the whole week....
In order to quality as a "buyer" you need to own a business or be sent there on behalf of a business"...I cheated the system in 2003 and entered as a buyer of a shop that I "created". Faked a business card and everything...as stated on their website (At the time of picking up your tickets at will call, you will need to present one of the following.....i.e. business card).
