Imagine the possibilities… a Presidential-style police motorcade, a 600hp Supercar-spec rallycross machine, and closed-off city streets at your disposal. What would you do? If you’re thinking ‘rip it up’ or something along similar lines, you’ll probably want to check out this clip from Red Bull Global Rallycross filmed in Washington, D.C. and starring motorsports all rounder Rhys Millen.
Staged it might be, but that doesn’t take away anything from the spectacle – Rhys unleashing the full four-wheel drive might of his RMR GRC Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and sliding it by some of the USA’s most iconic architecture, including the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building. His final destination is the RFK Stadium where GRC’s third round is happening this weekend. Check it out!
Who else was thinking 'ken block'.... Awesome nontheless
@minivtec totally dude, it's like Rhys is some sort of Ken Block who you know, actually knows how to drive.
Rhys millen did a roundabout scene in the dukes of hazzard movie a few years back. That's actually what crossed my mind.
why is it always "the" capital? It should be "a" capital..
@minivtec srsly dude, was like exactly the same when the video started xD
Given Rhys is a kiwi I immediately thought of "The Capital" as Wellington lol. disappointing it wasn't. Be rad to see more Rally Cross tho!
At least someone was working in the capital.
Why I like Rhys Millen more than Ken Block
1) Comes from a family of race car drivers
2) Red Bull>Monster
3) Way better driver
Things to review
1) I do not like the Veloster
Love the breakaway and return to the escort. God I love GRC!
I8apylon Thinking the same thing, lol.
Too much slow mo. After the first one, it gets annoying.
That panel flex is what you should expect from a korean car.
the Circle lane remind me of Duke of Hazard Movie, General Lee Chase scene
That was pretty cool..... special in DC
JakWhite Looked like panel death wobble.
that was cute
Can't bother with him or some Ken guy, these tyre slaying 4 shows. Seb Loeb on land and Tajima on hills, proper tyre grip use, enough 4 me...
