#IAMTHESPEEDHUNTER: We Want Your Turbo

Towards the end of the month, we’re going to be celebrating our favourite form of forced induction – the turbocharger. As is now tradition, we want you to join in our celebration by submitting your absolute and goddamn best photographs of turbochargers and the beasts which they call home.

As this is #IAMTHESPEEDHUNTER, we’re of course not just looking for ordinary photographs of turbos or turbo cars but we want to see one of the greatest add-ons to an internal combustion engine depicted as it deserves to be.

We want to see flames, smoking tyres and pretty much anything else that typifies that surge of oh-so addictive boost.

If you want to take part in this theme, you’ll need to do the following:

  • E-mail your submissions to iamthespeedhunter@speedhunters.com with the exact subject line of  ‘The Turbo Theme’.
  • Tell us your name, location and a little bit about the photograph.
  • Attach the image directly to the email but ensure the image is no larger than 1000px on the longest side.
  • Make sure the image is free of any distracting watermarks. Don’t worry, we will make sure you are properly credited.
  • Closing date for submissions is October 22nd 2013.

As this will be the first theme run on the new Speedhunters, we’re going to continue with the usual format of 800PX image size which we will stick to for the immediate future. This prevents our e-mail system from melting and also protects your work from image thieves. However, if people are interested in submitting and displaying their work in high resolution, I’m sure we can figure out something for you. After all, #IAMTHESPEEDHUNTER is your Speedhunters.
